After 3 days with no replies in the Politics section, perhaps Religion would be the better choice.
Um, isn't it the job of African nations to provide that service, not the Canadian government? I know it's not the case, but such a stance could be seen as racist. I mean it looks kind of bad to be giving Africans birth control. I mean, African nations need the population in order to run their farms, seeing as most of them still subsistence farm.
Wouldn't a better policy be to encourage the education of the African peoples and encourage them to industrialize. It's already been shown that in industrial nations that families are smaller. Plus you'd get the benefit of bettering the lives of the average African. Thus killing multiple birds with one stone.
You don't believe that any more than I do Ralph.
You know that I spent several years in MA. My middle school and first two years of high school. About the only thing they did get right was sex ed. Unlike Missouri, my classmates in MA had far fewer pregnancies our senior year. I'm all for sex ed, but I'm also for letting people lie in the bed they made.
Cape Cod. Lyle Middle School on Otis AFB for 8th grade and Bourne High School for 9th and 10th grade.
Not too far away from me Fall River.
My health class taught everything we needed to know about sex drugs and hygeine.
There were still quite a few pregnencies in my senior class.

I have many friends that are conservative theologically. I tend heavily to that side of the spectrum, as well. I would classify myself a conservative evangelical. However, I've found that most of my friends tend to be right-wing conservatives when it comes to politics. I am...

Ever since I could remember, the concept of separation of church (religious affairs)) and state (secular affairs) , has always been the operative construct of the relationship of the two most powerful institutions that govern man. This has not been entirely so,...

Why is it when discussing subjects such as Religion or Politics some peopleabsolutely refuse to even listen to the 'other side' of the story? Or better yet some go on rants or tangents and don't listen, even when you agree with their side?
