Why Did President Obama Pray to a Hand?

   Tonight, we pray for that courage.  We pray for the people of the Gulf. 
   
   And we pray that A HAND may guide us through the storm towards a brighter day. 
   
   Thank you, God bless you, and may God bless the United States of America.
   
   I have never heard a Christian prayer for guidance from a hand.
   
   On the other hand, if you do an internet search of the words, hand and allah, you will see that the hand is very important in Islam.
   
   The right hand is a reflection of Allah.  Muslims find his name written in the shape of the right hand, in the lines on the palm, in the veins on the back of the hand.  The symbol of the hand is revered.  There is a star cluster that looks like a raised hand and many Muslims look at it as an indication of the return of the Mahdi. If you Google the words be sure to look at the images associated with those words.

      It figures.
      Obama has several times called for America to "summon" some spirit or whatever.  It would be legitimate to ask for the Hand of God to guide us, but notably he refuses to connect the two. 
      Guess he doesn't realize or else doesn't care that the true God doesn't bless such nonsense.

      Well, that is an intriguing observation.  I wondered if anyone would notice that at least twice in one day our President said 'God Bless America', the first was the speech to the Coast Guard fellows, and the second of course his first Oval Office address. 
      
      I noticed his emphasis on this, and his reference to praying, thought it really odd and wondered if anyone else did.  Thought perhaps I just had not noticed such words from him before -- particularly given the anti christian element that is so rabidly pro-Obama.
      
      Your observations/comments are interesting, but the expression the "Hand of God" is one that echoes as well with Christians, perhaps in rebuttal to the Muslim connection you see -- although what you describe from your Muslim research clearly weds the use of the expression 'the hand' as an ominous Muslim remark, with many more connotations than found in Christianity.

   It is truly awful that a leader of ALL Americans, doesn't conform to the wishes of JUDEO-CHRISTIAN Americans by using the G-word often enough.  The generic "hand" recognizes multiple faiths.

               Once you download a picture onto a website, it's pretty easy for anyone to find.  If you are trying to avoid someone for any reason, you may want to refrain from posting your picture online.

         The birth certificate issue has been dead and buried since the Hawaiian health department confirmed it.

         I hope he is lying about being a religionist myself.
         Australia's new prime minister came straight out and said she doesn't do religion! You could never do that in America.

       One can compete without bizarre conjecture.  She could, for instance, give us her detailed views about concerns about Obama's policies, or why she thinks the country is going in the wrong direction, or what she would do differently.  Instead, she starts ridiculous threads about a hand metaphor, or the other forum thread where she notes that you can take Obama (or pretty much any black man) and note they have the same bone structure as an Egyptian pharaoh (or pretty much any dude from Africa).

       Our State Department is paying for the founder of the Cordoba Initiative, Daisy Khan's husband, a known supporter of the Muslim Brotherhood to travel to the Middle East representing the United States in an effort to improve relations.  The man who is responsible, along with [b]A HAND, for a mosque to be built near the site of the 9/11 massacre is representing our government now.[/b]

       There is a group of investors who have obtained the building next door to the proposed mosque site.  They are planning to build a gay nightclub that caters also to Muslim gays in an attempt to foster understanding and curtail all the hangings in the Middle East as they grow to understand that homosexuality is a reasonable choice, not a sin.   Part of the club will be alcohol free in deference to the sensibilities of Muslims.
