The popular clothing store Forever XXI (21)is coming out with a line of maternity clothing.
Knowing that Forever XXI caters to/attracts teens, is this
a) a brilliant marketing move -- why shouldn't teens have nice maternity clothes?
b) exploitation of teen girls who get themselves in trouble
c) an underhanded plot to increase teen pregnancies?
Your thoughts?
Personally, I think it's addressing a marketing niche, which is a reality. It doesn't mean that they condone teen pregnancies, it just means they are looking at statistics and filling a need.
On a personal level, however, one can agree or disagree.
Hi Daniel -- I like your new self. Nice guns!
I tend to agree. It's smart marketing. They are in business to make money.
Where alse are pregnant teens supposed to buy clothes? WalMart?
Why is everything a conspiracy or evil plot? Stores look for ways to make money, the need is there they cash in on it. Hey, the teens decide for themselves if they have relations or not.
