The President is playing a dangerous game here/walking a tight rope. Even former president GEORGE W. BUSH, as unpopular as he was, said, before plunging us into Iraq for the second time that "We will stay UNTIL THE JOB IS DONE". Now, this president is planning to withdraw from both Iraq and Afghanistan BEFORE then, which IS NOT wise
what exactly is the "job"
have we not killed enough innocent civilians yet
The damage to Iraq was done when we blew up the country and did Iran a favor taking out their arch enemy. I will be amazed if Iraq becomes a western style democracy and not an Iranian ally or muslim theocracy.
Afghanisran has long been a waste of our resources. The mission was to get the people responsible for 9/11. Well that ship sailed when we let Bin Laden escape into Pakistan where we've been expanding the conflict and alienating the Pakistani people if not destabilizing the region.
Obama's only mistake here was to make an announcement when we'll be leaving. Apparently Obama has never played poker. He's made the same mistake in Libya announcing ahead of time exactly what we will and wont do.
Considering the fact that President Obama seems to have clearly set sail on the path of American destruction, this is an obvious course of action to fulfill his goals.
Every decision this man and his minions make serves to weaken America. When the devastation of 9/11 becomes common place in America as a result I sincerely hope that he and his staunchest defenders will be around to answer for it.
"Until the job is done"
What was the job? Didn't we get it done? I remember distinctly watching the news and watching W land a jet on an aircraft carrier and delivering a speech with a giant banner saying "Mission Accomplished".
A) there was never a definition of what the goal of the operation was.
b) the prez announced to the world that the mission was accomplished.
c) Obama has won a nobel prize for PEACE even though he just launched us into another 2 wars - we're in Afghan, Iraq, we've been bombing Pakistan (not much news about this), and we just recently attacked Libya.
Wake up. This is all nonsense.

Despite what Obama's press secretary might tell you, the only reason that America is leaving Iraq is because of a declaration signed by George Bush saying that America will leave by 2011. Obama insisted upon staying in Iraq, but the Iraqi government has refused to grant US troops immunity for their...

When will the USA bring the troops home from Afghanistan? It seems like it is long over due that we bring our men home, when will we end this foolish, expensive war?

One of President Bush's arguments for invading Iraq was the strong Hussain-al Qaeda connection. The anti-Iraq invasion group said there was only very skimpy evidence of that and much stronger evidence that such an arrangement couldn't exist;. After several extensive post-war...
