Hell, they can fix that, they'll whip up a little bill that says insurance businesses can't go out of business.

      Liberal logic.

Here's a fairly balance article to read.

      http://www.comcast.net/articles/news-ge … .One.Year/

According to it 1 in 8 are benefiting, but there are some small businesses that simply cannot afford the insurance. Interesting read....and balances it by commenting from both R & D....

Lol!! Oh, 1 in 8 are benefitting?? Well that's different maybe we should apply all laws that way so say 1 in 8 can benefit from civil rights! Why gave a law that's good for everyone when you can have one that benefits 1 in 8... particularly whel all 8 have to pay the cost???  Sorry my bad!

          Spin Spin Spin.

You just can't take an objective view on anything.....

1 in 8 when the whole Obamacare isn't due to get into full swing until 2014......you just jump on something and spin it to your benefit....you make no comment when I point to the small business problem, because you don't have to spin that...

The minute both the Republicans and Democrats stop spinning every little thing, the sooner this country will get better...

Spin? What spin??? You're the one touting the horrid results as a benefit! Talk about spin!

Spin, Spin, Spin, what biased politicians do best. lol As well as biased wanna be politicians. Is this really what it is called now, "Obamacare"? Huh it's in my spell check right. lol

All I can say is that Europe has the best healthcare system in the world. Places like Switzerland are on the forefront of drug addiction too. They do not see drug crimes, something that is overwhelming America right now. Thus the big issues when cops are laid off. In Switzerland they do not have to worry about that. I would call Switzerland a truly democratic medical system and it is working great. I do believe it is a universal health care system that is regulated by the Federal Health Insurance Act they made back in the early 90's.

Anyway why are Americas so angry to help their fellow man out. I hear all these things about entitlements. I created an entitlements argument last year and it was how the rich in America were entitled. Now it has morphed into average American citizens and the poor american citizens are entitled, and now they are taking away their benefits. Meanwhile the rich get more tax breaks, and tax heavens. America is about to split right down the middle, I think. You either support the rich, or you support the average american workers. You pick, Obamacare is for the people, still kinks in it yeah, give it time. If you fight this, you are truly appalling, only the rich swine does such a thing!

So read your facts again, think things over again, and reform your world views, then come back and ask another question here. Thanks again.

Lady, you definitely should have watched the HBO program tonight remembering the Triangle Factory fire.  Perhaps that will teach people like you a tiny bit of history and why letting big rich men run around with no rules and regulations is a bad thing for everyone, except those few rich men.

I don't know anything about that fire but I'll bet money there were building codes, fire codes, occupancy codes, and insurance codes in place. Chances are there was corruption somewhere so that any number of these codes were not properly enforced... you chose to blame the rich guy but what about the corrupt bureaucrats that no doubt took the bribes?

The Triangle Shirtwaist Factory fire was a horrific event in the history of NYC. There weren't any fire codes, building codes, or safety regulations as we know it now.  Add to that was flammable materials that easily caught fire.  Add to that there was rampant corruption as often happens when it comes to immigrants who are poor and have a poor understanding of their rights and are therefore easily exploitable.  Add to that was that the fire departments had no equipment and didn't know how to handle fires in what were then considered skyscrapers at only ten floors.  Don't let TomC35 reduce this event to rich vs unions because it was more than that.  Certainly the tragedy spurred the ladies to form a ladies garment workers union so that there was better conditions for the workers, but it also made it obvious to NYC municipal govt and its fire departments what they needed to do to make sure that buildings were constructed for easy exits in case of a fire, and that the fire department could devise ways to access the higher floors and better equipment to douse fires at higher levels, better inspection of buildings and allowable occupation rates, etc.  In addition the NYC legislature appointed a commission which resulted in modern labor laws and better working conditions.

I do not consider myself left, or right for that matter, far as I can tell I have no wings and am thus not right wing or left wing, silly birds!

My only real point in posting as I did is that one "another why obama sucks and is worse the terrorism blah blah blah..." forum thread at a time is more then enough. The forum posts that LaLo put up a week ago about why she still thinks obama is a horrible president and is evil is still alive, why post yet another one?

It all gets so very tiresome, we know you hate the guy, no need to give us daily reminders that she thinks Obama is out to destroy america, we all get it, we just don't all agree. It starts to seem like a case of LaLo needs a bit of attention and so we all have to have another go around the merry go round, telling her why she is right, why she is wrong, why she is silly or whatever it is we think she is. LaLo, we know you think Obama is killing america, due to design or just incompetence, whatever, doesn't matter, we get it, we hear ya, you don't like the guy, gottca! Posting in this forum every day a new reason for hating Obama isn't actually doing anything, you are not making a difference. All you are doing is having a daily moan at all of us and its getting old.

LaLo is welcome to put up as many posts about Obama as she wishes.  There is nobody making you click on her posts or turning your eyes in their sockets to read them.

If LaLo can be accused of anything, it would be treating Obama with the same level of rabid-and-at-times-over-the-top-criticism that was aimed at Bush for eight years.

It's the Democratic President's turn in the barrel.  So suck it up and take it....

      Nice save how about this:
"What bad stuff? Oh,you must work for an insurance company. I get it now."
Not necessarily an attack but was that comment necessary? If you honestly don't know about what kicks in in 2014 like the mandate irs enforcement and new taxes then how can you support the bill?
      Then there was this:
"Our very own Charlie Sheen ... in drag!"
That was not only mean but completely uncalled for! I wouldn't expect such comments from liberals who constantly espouse the need to stress their caring and kindness for the poor, downtroden, and exploited people of the world... but it does speak to the hypocrisy of the left! Lol

Having read the many of the threads and/or comments posted by  La_lo, Brenda Durham, Ann Cee, Jim Hunter, Billy D Ritchie, and weholdthesetruths, bashing Obama and family, or democrats/liberals, it has become obvious to me that these people have ulterior motives for their accusations and inuendos, which are usually onesided.

Could they be shills for TPTB?  Maybe they just crave attention.

Could their negative displays be the sum total of their extended social lives? They do spend an inordinate amount of time composing negative threads and accusations. They also go to great lengths to embellish articles with their own spin, or to conveniently leave out portions of articles that do not suit their inuendos.

Where do they get the time for all of the hatred?  They must be retired or are independently wealthy. They sure as heck couldn't be doing this on the employer's clock, could they?

If these people would spend as much time honestly looking at the flaws in both parties equally, they might just build some credibility.  Here's hoping.

LaLo, you accuse me of attacking comservatives for expressing their views.  I have no problem with anyone expressing their views, as long as their views have credibility!  Several of you Obama bashers have been caught outright embellishing articles with inuendos of your own.  oft times, things are left out, that would take away from your embellishments.

You cannot let it go at politics, you have to attack Obama's wife and her activities also.  I am sure that if it was your life, under the microscope, people with an agenda would surely find something about you to complain about and ridicule.

You call me liberal. LOL.  I'm independent. That independence does not mean that I do not have compassion for my fellow man/woman.  I believe we should care about those less fortunate.

I am fully aware that there is corruption on both sides of the aisle, and am not afraid to comment on either party's faults.

You would do well to focus your anger on the real problem.  Namely the federal reserve fractional banking system.  This system is what keeps Joe sixpack from achieving the status you think most people should be able to attain. This system is what makes it necesssary to create programs for the needy.  This system creates the scenario where businesses cannot compete on the foreign markets without dowsizing, outsourcing or flat out moving their businesses out of the U.S..

Our politicians on both sides of the aisle bow to Bernanke and the bankers.  We operate under a debt monetary system where the wealthy would never have their fortunes, nor be able to keep it, were it not for the forced indebtedness and servitude of the masses.

Republicans and democrats alike, are allowing this system to kill our own markets and along with it the American way of life. The poor man doesn't have the wherewithall to influence our politicians.  The corporate bigwigs and bankers do.

This nation has gone further and further into debt for many decades now.  Isn't it time to start reclaiming our nation from the greedy PTB?  Our indebtedness proves that they haven't done the job they were supposed to, but instead, enriched themselves on the backs of the masses.

You want all able people to attain stability on their own, but do not realize that if the majority of people quit borrowing, this system would collapse, and what wealth you had would become worthless.

You have the intelligence, start looking at the real problem, and don't be taken in by the misdirection ploys and smokescreens  put in play by TPTB.

What you refer to as " embellishments" are actually my "opinions" but apparently you have a problem with opinions since they aren't actually facts but views formed from facts. It would be nice if everything was black and white then there'd be no reason for discourse just to take sides.
