"Tomorrow, Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-MN) will appear before the Iowa FAMiLY Leader, the radical anti-LGBT group headed by Bob Vander Plaats, as she lays the groundwork for a potential presidential campaign. As ThinkProgress reported Friday, the FAMiLY Leader and Vander Plaats himself hold some abhorrent views about homosexuality, including the belief that it is a “public health risk” along the lines of secondhand smoke.
According to CNN, Bachmann’s first hire in her presidential campaign will likely be Iowa State Senator Kent Sorenson (R), who will serve as her state political director. Sorenson gained notoriety as the author of Iowa’s “birther bill” requiring “birth certificates to be filed with affidavits of candidacy for presidential and vice presidential candidates.”
Birther Bill, and Being Gay is a public health risk......
Yep, we got us a REAL winner here.
I'm not sure who Bob Vander Plaats is... but I bet he is just a few months away from coming out of the closet
Well, I live in Iowa and i'm appalled with the direction our state has taken and often led the country in recent years concerning social issues as this.

You know you're a teabagger if:Posted by SmackontheWeb on February 21, 2010 at 4:48pm:
You are at a rally having your little hissy fit over all the rights Barack Obama has taken from you but cannot name a single right that has actually been taken from you by Barack Obama.
You think Congressman Joe Wilson is a hero because he yelled "You lie!" when Barack Obama said there were no provisions in proposed healthcare legislation that provided free healthcare to illegal immigrants, even though Congressman Wilson himself voted for the Medicare Prescription Drug, Improvement and Modernization Act of 2003, which provided taxpayer-funded reimbursements to hospitals that treated illegal immigrants who didn't have insurance.
Your only sources of information are tea party websites and Fox News.
You swoon with admiration as Sarah Palin proclaims President Obama "Barack the Wealth Spreader", while you remain blissfullly ignorant to the fact she brags about the number of annual checks she doled out as governor of Alaska to nearly every resident, representing their share of the revenues from the state's oil riches. She boosted those checks by raising taxes on oil.
You claim Barack Obama's czars are unconstitutional and are turning the country towards Socialism yet had no problem with the 30+ czars President Bush employed during his administration.
You ridicule supporters of Barack Obama as "brainwashed" and "Kool-Aid drinking Obama worshippers" yet turn all glassy-eyed and weak-kneed while you break down in tears of rapture at the mere mention of Sarah Palin's name.
You stomp your feet and shake your fist at all the taxes Barack Obama has imposed on you but cannot name a single tax that Barack Obama has actually imposed on you.
Etc Etc Etc.......
"Republicans want to replace the Constitution with the Kochstitution"
Ever notice how badly liberals go down in flames when they try to be funny?
You have to have a sense of humor first.....
"Eric Cantor thinks only billionaires and corporations need a safety net"
That one is not funny.
I know, like calling the President an anti-American traitor...SO much classier!
another not funny one:
The Earth's Destiny & Our Fates are Being Determined by Approximately 500 Wealthy Men & Corporations http://goo.gl/jMCjm
God--good thing I have to go....I could be here all day!!
hmmm, maybe I should start a "you could be a tea-bagger if"...thread.
Kind of like the "Barack Obama Jokes" thread.....
You baggers should really be complimented...it IS the sincerest form of flattery...
Eh, forget it.
"A teabagger could eat Ramen noodles every night and would still defend tax cuts for billionaires"
one little more:
"Tenthers, why is Ryancare constitutional but Obamacare isn't?"
Could someone post a budget that has been put forth by the Democrats? Something to compare Ryan's plan too?
"I want some of what Paul Ryan is on...must be nice to never have to deal with reality..."
A "public health risk"? ...How? The only explanation I can think of for such a view is that some gay and bisexual men do suffer from HIV, but some heterosexual men and women do too. Have they conveniently forgotten that little fact?
It's one of their targets of choice...along with women, muslims, and poor people.
You must know...the only ones who matter are white,Judeo-Christian males with the gall to have us pay for their viagra.
Oh Luvvy...pass me my pills....
No! No!...not another night..

Is Barack Obama the President you expected?Ignore everything about the man, but his performance. Are you glad that he is the President of the United States? If so, why? If not, why?

So President Obama's approval rating after one month is...only 68%. Our expectations of him on Inauguration night were too high. His approval rating back on Jan. 20 was around 80%.
