Conspiracy theories will run rampant regarding the death of OBL.
Do you think that releasing those photo's will help quite the doubters? Do you think releasing the photos will help provide closure to the many affected by his actions? Do you think releasing the photos will only further the cause of AQ?

I cannot believe I am saying this, but I agree with the President. Do not release the photos. But he and others are incorrect about the reason. First no matter if they are released or not there will always be a conspiracy theory. If we release, the photos are fake, if we do not we lied about the raid. So there is no advantage to releaseing the pictures. Next, the pictures will not fuel the fire. The terrorists do not need a reason like the photo to attack, nor will they use it for revenge. They have had many leaders captured or killed and life went on . Whatever the next attempt of an attack is, it has been in the planning stage for a while. The terrorist do not get an idea today and attack tomorrow. They take a while before they make a move. Their hatred for non muslims id not based soley on Binladen, they had it before he came along and they have it now that he is gone.

They should know that Bin Laden is in Hell, and there are no virgins!

Show the photos and let's see all the evidence after all we paid for it! Besides we have a right to examine it to verify the account given by the government was accurate. The body never should have been disposed of... if it actually was and if he is actually dead. Seems to me he would have been more valuable alive where he could have been water boarded tried by the military In Gitmo and executed.

To me it does not matter. I think he is dead, but even so another terrorist will emerge. Because we live in a world where people believe power means controlling others and having a lot of money. To me the only thing that matters is loving our brothers and sister, and making heaven our home for eternity. This can only be done by asking Jesus to come into our lives and sae us from our sins. Our nation needs to get back to prayer and seek God for answers, as our four fathers did.

nope..let the conspiracy theory folks be damned... their paranoia should control the President's actions

Plus, if he did release the photos, they would just say they were photoshoped

"Whatever the next attempt of an attack is, it has been in the planning stage for a while. The terrorist do not get an idea today and attack tomorrow. They take a while before they make a move." Sounds like a conspiracy theory to me.

Look up what a conspiracy is. If Obama altered his birth certificate, that is not a conspiracy, if he enlists the help of others, it is a conspiracy. If terrorists work alone It is not a conspiracy. If a general orders the seals to overtake a compound, it is not a conspiracy.

The photos and video should be released.  We have a right to see it.  We were not given a choice when we saw the towers fall and people hurling themselves to their deaths.  But it's ok for them to show videos of a reporter being beheaded.  And now people are saying we murdered him?  I hardly think so, he was a wanted criminal.  The man was pure evil and he deserves what he got.  I'm glad he's dead.  I'm glad we took him out so that he will not have the luxury of a trial and the chance to kill more innocent people.  And now our President says there is no reason to show the photos?  What the hell is he afraid of?  Reprisals if we show the photo and/or video?  Like that's something new?  They don't need a reason to attack.  They will again because they hate us amd because they can.  But oh, when a country needs help, who do they come running to?  And who gives them that help?  The good old USA.  Once the help is given, then we are once again scum in their eyes.  And make no mistake, just because he's gone doesn't mean we are any safer, there are thousands of others lined up for his job.
I am so sick of our actions being based on who it will offend.  Wake up America, find the backbone you seem to have lost.

      Trish

You are right about attacks and our assistance. Personally I could care less if we murdered him, he had it coming. It should have been a long death, say several days long

I say don't release them. No one will ever believe they are real.

I would rather see official DNA test results from several independent sources

      hi AutoBuddy,
Ok, that is a valid reason.  I guess it's the people who are afraid of offending anyone that bothers me most.  OBL certainly didn't care who he offended, nor do many other countries care.  It's all that political correctness BS.

They cursed us. Murderer they called us. They cursed us, and drove us away. And we wept, Precious, we wept to be so alone. And we only wish to catch fish so juicy sweet. And we forgot the taste of bread... the sound of trees... the softness of the wind. We even forgot our own name. My Precious!

If I'm not mistaken, they released pix of two of the other dead terrorists (Osama's courier and another?).
So yeah they should've immediately released the ones of Osama.
What were they trying to do, treat all Americans like idiots?   hmm  like they've been doing for 2 & 1/2 years already...yep that's about right.
