Seriously, if we were talking about revolution... about changing the world, you think laughter is the best thing we can do?

I TOTALLY agree! I believe that the key to a healthy mind and a healthy body is happiness! Yes, eat your vegetables and incorporate non-strenuous physical activities, but none of it is worthwhile if you are not happy. As a matter of FACT, laughter has proven to reduce stress and relieve pain through the release of endorphins, a chemical that your brain releases when you experience feelings of happiness. Laughter also increases the rate at which the blood flows throughout your body and into your heart, decreasing your chance of heart disease. Guess what? It can also work as a preventative to other diseases! When you laugh, you relieve stress which decrease stress hormones and increases the amount of antibodies and immune cells that your body releases. SO LAUGH IT UP!

HAHAHAHA Laughter! I was imagining 'heads' of nations with disputes...debating...and then suddenly they decide to just LAUGH IT OUT! How peaceful could that get!? Right?

    Subject: Shipwrecked

A cruise on the Pacific goes all wrong, the ship sinks, and there are only 3 Survivors; Damian, Darren and Deirdre.

They manage to swim to a small island and they lived there for a couple of years doing what's natural for men and women to do.

After several years of casual sex, all the time, Deirdre felt absolutely horrible about what she was doing.

She felt having sex with both Damian and Darren was so bad that she killed herself.

It was tragic but Damian and Darren managed to get through it. And after a while, nature once more took its inevitable course.

Well, a couple more years went by and Damian and Darren began to feel absolutely horrible about what they were doing.

    So they buried Deirdre.

On Chelsea's wedding day, Hillary wanted to play the perfect Mom.

She asked Chelsea... "Have you had sex with Marc?"

Chelsea said...., "Not according to Dad!"

    Subject: British Humor

The train was quite crowded, and a U. S. Marine walked the entire length looking for a seat, but the only seat left was taken by a well dressed, middle-aged, French woman's poodle.

The war-weary Marine asked, 'Ma'am, may I have that seat?'

The French woman just sniffed and said to no one in particular 'Americans are so rude. My little Fifi is using that seat.'

The Marine walked the entire train again, but the only seat left was under that yapping dog.

'Please, ma'am. May I sit down? I'm very tired.'

She snorted, 'Not only are you Americans rude, you are also arrogant!'

This time the Marine didn't say a word; he just picked up the little dog, tossed it out the train window, and sat down.

The woman shrieked, 'Someone must defend my honour! This American should be put in his place!'

An English gentleman sitting nearby spoke up, 'Sir, you Americans seem to have a penchant for doing the wrong thing. You hold the fork in the wrong hand. You drive your cars on the wrong side of the road. And now, sir, you seem to have thrown the wrong bitch out the window.

as long as the laughter is about something mutually funny and not at the expense of one of the parties involved...a b s o l u t e l y....if we can laugh more readily and be less likely to be incited to anger...then certainly there would be less conflict...
but many of the issues are not about laughable topics....some things you just can't 'make' funny....
i am usually the one to be first to laugh and to cause others to laugh...but many things are not in the humorous category...those i do not need to list...

I would like to think that laughter could change the world I mean, what better and more enjoyable way could there be.. Wait let me rephrase that smile
Everyone could use AN ABUNDANCE of laughter in their life, as long as it isn't as someone elses expense, but even that can be fun if they too join in.

Laughter is a way to address some issues but I don't believe it's the only way because time has shown me when we think everything is funny we don't deal with serious issues seriously.

It depends on what you are laughing about. The Germans under Hitler laughed a lot.

I believe the world didn't see humor in the horror brought about by the Germany reign, like I said it's import to know that everything isn't funny even if some peoople think so.

Call me different but I don't believe other people's suffering is humorous not even yours.

From what I've seen, the people who are the cause of the biggest problems aren't smart enough to have a sense of humor; and another group for whom humor would be useless are many people who are the victims of those "biggest problems" - so, no.  As great, as healing, and as harmony-producing as laughter can be; I don't think it would help with the most serious of world problems.

One of the biggest laughs I get is when I hear Obama talk about all the good he has done for this country.  What a Hoot!
