Well, OK. Let's try this. What/How, do you feel about your Country.
Are you happy with all the, SCARE TACTICS, Lying MEDIA.
We, are all, I think, ALL, aware of all this crap.
This time, I have NO, link's, MEDIA'S, Sources.
I am asking you all a question, off the top of my head.
Let's see who has, Gonads, and, who Don't.
You, The Government have UNDERESTAMATED US, and, OUR POWER OF/AS, We The People,,,,,
You will see your error come, November 6, 2012
KEEP UP THE PRESSURE, PEOPLE. WE CAN, and, WILL WIN.
OLY
Hi Oly. It is nice to chat with you once more.
The importance of the presidential election is over estimated and over sold in the USA. The uniquely popular feature of the Presidency is that this office is the only one for which all Americans get to vote, but it is far from the most powerful office in the land. Examine our government as structured by the Constitution and you discover the Congress has far more power then the President and this is what makes our nation so strong. Therefore, the people can and will win back their country only if they focus more on Congressional and less on the Presidential candidates.
No links. No media sources! ( as requested.)
Very true Quilligrapher, yet for some reason it seems that our Congress does not take on the responsibilities that it holds.
I would personally like to see the Senate revert back to representing the States and have the House represent the people. As a Union of fifty sovereign states, I do not understand why these "States" do not have representation!
"The Senate of the United States shall be composed of two Senators from each State, chosen by the Legislature thereof, for six Years.
US Constitution, Article I, Section 3, Clause 1"
This was how the Senate operated prior to 1913, which I am sure you already know.
Almost all of Congress is bought and paid for ..with very few exceptions.
You can gripe and moan all you want to, but the government is way bigger than you, so no matter how enormous your gonads are, there is nothing you can do about it. Voting Republican or Democrat is irrelevant.
You are not giving your friends, neighbors, relatives, much credit for all the hard work and effort they are doing to try and get our Country back.
OLY
You seem extremely willing to accept defeat.
Luckily for all of us, the founders of the nation did not hold the same beliefs.
How big was the British Empire in relation to a few colonists?
"We are Anonymous. We are Legion. We do not forgive. We do not forget. Expect us“
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HrXyLrTR … ure=fvwrel
AHHAHAHA no seriously you cannot quote anonymous without knowing the first thing about what you are talking about, anonymous has no interest in your political cause nor is that you tube video any indication of the beliefs of a loose group including millions of people, my guess is you have no idea what anonymous is , go to www.4chan.org/b/ and see for yourself.
precisely, do you know the first thing about the group you are associating yourself with?
Anonymous: Revolution 2012
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=26PLBeABDZ0
Obviously you don't understand the first thing about anonymous, maybe you should read about some of the raids, the child p0rn, the racism or the fact that anonymous is not a real group at all, I am not saying they are all bad but apart from being anti SOPA and pro wikileaks I can't think of a single thing that anonymous agrees on in any real sense. A couple of years back they placed millions of videos of hardcore pornography in children's videos on YouTube.
You assume too much.
I do not know much about coaching college football. I do know that not all college football coaches are sexual deviants because one is!
We The People, as a Nation, Stand together, All for One and One for all.
Just don't, I re-peat,,, DON'T, get in our way.
You can call it what ever trips your trigger.
WE, call it,,,, GETTING OUR COUNTRY, The United States Of America, BACK.
OLY
OLY
I thought you people hated the French...
Have some freedom fries.
"We the people" is how the U.S. Constitution starts. You know, the document that designed our government.
It's not perfect. Heck no. And the calcification that's built up is frustrating.
But We the People is our government.
It seems anti-American to me to treat our government as a foreign enemy. Also, self-defeating, quite literally.
Absolutely. These people who make the people vs. government argument...
I guess they think the government was transported here from some far-flung evil planet.
We have the government we put in place; the government we chose to have.
Is it anti-American to treat the government as a foreign enemy when that is essentially the case anyway? I can not think of a bigger enemy to the American people than their own government right now. The people didn't ask for their civil liberties to be taken away and for their currency to be destroyed.
And yet we elected the people that keep doing it. We could all vote for independents.
The elections are rife with fraud, don't you know that?
The people in our government have forgotten one very important fact - they work for us.
We need to start thinking of our government officials as that idiot employee that does everything wrong unless watched and guided closely. Then, once they screw up, fire their butts and send them home with nothing more than what they showed up with and a boot imprint on the seat of their pants.
"We need to start thinking of our government officials as that idiot employee that does everything wrong unless watched and guided closely."
What you need do is use your brain and your voting finger to put good people in office in the first place. That IDIOT EMPLOYEE was most likely vetted by smarter people than you or I could ever be. You should start doing your own job and thereby make everybody stop having to watch you.
I don't have gonads, I have ovaries. I think they help with critical thinking. The ovaries of skepticism.
Ovaries Of Skeptition,,,, Nicely Put. Perhaps, YOU, NANCY, and Michelle, should get together.
I am sure this would solve our dilemma.
OLY
Perhaps you should respect that people have the right to be as suspicious of you as you are of the government.
You-all can be as Suspicious of me as you want. I am an OPEN BOOK.
Hub Pages, knows this. Ya See, I have been in the Dig House here.
Also, I am quite capable of taking what ever comes my way, with a grain of SALT.
You, I am having somewhat of a problem getting to, and, that is fine.
I am not the smartest book on the shelf, and, A lot here will back that up.
Just here to have a good time and every now and then bring something to the table, you might not know about.
OLY
LOL! It's too perfect! I LOVE the phrase ovaries of skepticism (my wife and daughters will, too). I LOVE that OLY butchered the spelling in his reply, and unwittingly captured the essence of the breathlessly-typed, unedited stream-of-consciousness that passes for internet based conversation these days.
Btw, I'm skeptical too, though I am lacking in the ovary dept.!
Hey, who are you voting for in November, OLY? Have you decided yet?
HECK \NO,,,, BUT. YOU CAN BET YOUR SKIPPY, IT WILL NOT BE OBAMA.....
OLY
Okay Oly, I'll take some of that action and give you 3 to 1 odds. 3 jars of Skippy peanut butter to your 1. Crunchy, of course!
"The ovaries of skepticism."
LMAO I like that one!!
Well, I've been seeing this thread for awhile... I love the sentiment, but can't agree to it as fact.
People are sheep. I see it in jury duty. I see it when corporate america walks all over their customers. I see it whenever a cop pulls someone over. I see it every time someone signs a contract or clicks a TOS without reading it. I see it here, there, and everywhere.
Sheep. Sheep. Sheep.
I'm going to go have a cup of coffee, and hope that perks me up.
Reality bytes, anonymous is based in and organized by the members of 4chan. That site demonstrates their idea of freedom... From all rules and conventios.
You can't bounce away from 4chan as a place you'd never go, but support and listen to anonymous. It's the same people, and 4chan is the sort of thing they find fun! It's the home base of anonymous.
Get a little more educated about anonymous before you start waving their banner, eh? And also, I think they wouldn't take kindly to your equating them with pedophiles, though they're liable to hack into your website and replace the logo with Pedobear for the "lulz".(You do understand that most of what they do is for the "lulz", right? And you are fully conversant with what "lulz" are?)
I was not trying to equate Anonymous with sexual deviants. My point was that just because one football coach is a deviant, that does not make every football coach a deviant.
From AnonNews - Everything Anonymous:
"Anonymous is merely a name.
We are a named group. That is it. We do not keep a membership list for the obvious reason of being anonymous. Anyone can participate in our actions. We are not responsible for the actions of any individual, there is no one to take that responsibility but that individual himself. Anonymous is the mask, and our actions speak for themselves."
The other point is that you are using the anonymous tagline while not being anonymous which just smacks of ignorance.
No I really don't, if you had bothered to so much as look at 4chan you would have seen that everyone's screen name is: anonymous, yet right there I can see your screen name which is not anonymous.
Well, I am going to see how bad our BIG COURT messes up This morning.
Talk to ya later.
You can watch it on, C=SPAN, 2.
OLY
OK, We now have affordable health care.
What say ye????
OLY
We got a lot of things, OLYHOOCH, but affordable healthcare wasn't one of them.
In the words of my dear, sweet mother-in-law upon hearing of the Obamacare ruling:
"It's a sad day. I generally like to be kissed when I get screwed."
It is done, it is a tax. Depending on the results come November, the Law might be tweaked. Overall, the system operated the way it was designed.
Just got this,
Vote set to repeal Obamacare set for July 11th in the House.
OLY
CBS, just broke in with a Specia report, and, THEY CAN't EVEN FIGURE IT OUT.
OLY
Another Obama lie! This is a fact!
STEPHANOPOULOS: That may be, but it’s still a tax increase.
OBAMA: No. That’s not true, George. The – for us to say that you’ve got to take a responsibility to get health insurance is absolutely not a tax increase.
OBAMA: No, but – but, George, you – you can’t just make up that language and decide that that’s called a tax increase.
OBAMA: What – what – if I – if I say that right now your premiums are going to be going up by 5 or 8 or 10 percent next year and you say well, that’s not a tax increase; but, on the other hand, if I say that I don’t want to have to pay for you not carrying coverage even after I give you tax credits that make it affordable…
STEPHANOPOULOS: I – I don’t think I’m making it up. Merriam Webster’s Dictionary: Tax – “a charge, usually of money, imposed by authority on persons or property for public purposes.”
OBAMA: George, the fact that you looked up Merriam’s Dictionary, the definition of tax increase, indicates to me that you’re stretching a little bit right now. Otherwise, you wouldn’t have gone to the dictionary to check on the definition. I mean,…
STEPHANOPOULOS: Well, no, but…
OBAMA: What you’re saying is…
STEPHANOPOULOS: I wanted to check for myself. But your critics say it is a tax increase.
OBAMA: My critics say everything is a tax increase. My critics say that I’m taking over every sector of the economy. You know that. Look, we can have a legitimate debate about whether or not we’re going to have an individual mandate or not, but…
STEPHANOPOULOS: But you reject that it’s a tax increase?
OBAMA: I absolutely reject that notion.
http://foxnewsinsider.com/2012/06/28/re … not-a-tax/
You may note if you read the deciding opinion by Chief Justice Roberts, he applied the constitutionality of Congress to impose tax laws to uphold the provision for individual mandate, not the commerce law as argued by the administration. He also would not validate the legislation.
This is a loop hole that will get closed upon appeal, but with his partial and deciding assent Roberts provides a very powerful campaign weapon for the republicans, by proving this is a tax and the President is either purposely disingenuous or incompetent or both
Obama is going to lose the election to himself.
His own soundbytes will be his demise.
Unfortunately, there are too many stupid Americans that think Barack Hussein Obama is the second coming. Some of which I work with that are now asking, "So, is healthcare free now?"
Agreed. There are far too many willful ignorant people in America. However, it comes from both sides and it's about equally as damaging.
Name one person who thinks he is the second coming?
He will be the second coming of himself on November 7.
I know several in my personal life, UW, as well as some that act like it here on HP. I'll let your fertile mind run a muck as to which ones that may be.
I haven't seen anyone on here that believes that, all kidding aside, and no one I have ever talked to has said that. Just because you agree with someone does not make you think they are a God.
Never met one, most leftists I meet don't even like him very much, they are just wised up to him being better than the alternative. The only time I have seen anything vaguely resembling messianic belief in a president was with Reagan.
I work with a bunch of young people who only know Reagan's name or that he was a president. Some have no idea who he is. On the other hand, some of them act as if Obama is God's gift. The others I've managed to educate and change their minds, getting them to realize what a horrible president Obama really is.
I meant Reagan worship while he was in power and directly after, unsurprisingly it has faded since. Personally I don't like Obama very much, probably for different reasons to you but still.
Because you are politically right wing while he is moderately leftist.
"moderately leftist" my left butt cheek.
He's so far left, he can't even see "moderately leftist" from where he stands. But, thanks for the laugh, Josak.
It's a matter of perspective, if he ran in my home country he would be considered right wing, I am certainly a lot further to the left. Professional opinions put him close to center, link coming up.
According to politicalcompass.org he is politically right wing, you can read their reasons as professors of political science as to why.
http://www.politicalcompass.org/uselection2008
Don't waste your time, Josak. Your link won't change mind.
Hell a sit down conversation between just he and I wouldn't change my mind.
I figured but hey just trying to give some perspective, many Americans lack it for not having seen the political spectrum on a more global scale. If the right wing candidate in Australia (where I am now) suggested getting rid of free healthcare his approval numbers would drop 30 or 40 points, if he was in power he would be out very soon, this is not a radically leftist country and its economically a very very successful one.
My observation is that many conservatives such as yourself interpret any defense of some of Obama's policies as "worship."
Since you're a Canadian, why would it matter to you, UW?
Josak, most Americans couldn't care less what happens outside the U.S.
I've actually started thinking the SCOTUS decision may have been a good thing. Once Americans really realize that 21 additional taxes are about to be thrown at them and it's all Obama's fault, November can't get here fast enough.
ROMNEY 2012!!!!
Most American don't care, precisely, it's an exercise in ignorance and if you ask me it's part of why the US is falling behind economically, many Americans are completely ignorant that other countries have tried different things which have worked and are now outstripping us because of it.
