   Can love affect your emotions so much it compels people to make wrongful decisions in life
   
   Is love life that compelling, that it can emotionally affect a person to actually make them commit to making the wrong decisions in life, or the wrong choices in selecting a mate or leaving one.

   Absolutely.  Many people stay with the wrong partners and think if they just love that person enough he/she will change and be a better person.  People's perception of love is often very skewed.  They pour their heart/soul and passion into others believing that loving that other person will "make them happy" etc. 
   
   Most people do love all wrong - it should be about loving and respecting oneself first - because when you do that, you have the strength to not be in relationships with toxic people. 
   
   People do strange things when they are "love" or are obsessed with someone for the wrong reasons.  It often impairs the ability to reason.

   A challenging question. Strictly speaking there are no right or wrong decisions, only pathways.
   Love does not distinguish...between individuals or dogs or humanity as a whole..so in this sense it cannot be used as an  excuse to do something you would do anyway..

      I beg to differ, some people are strategic when it comes to trying to make other fall in love with them, and if that person isn't quite knowledgeable enough as to that persons not so obvious deceitfulness, may cause them to make the wrong decisions.

      No one can make you do something you don't want to do...To blame another for your decision is to relinquish responsibility for yourself...

   Love and hate are the two most powerful emotions we have. We see it all the time, where people are blinded by love. They can't see a person mistreating them. It isn't that they are that dumb, they just love the other person so much it doesn't bother them. As long as they have some part of the person they will take it. We have also seen on news reports where someone was killed by someone who loved them. They loved them so much they put them to their death. So yes, people make wrong decisions behind love all the time.
