You can fool yourself for a long time, but not forever. You can convince yourself to believe (or not believe) something while squashing down that nagging little voice inside you. The key to the gut is to be open to understanding yourself. Which is so much simpler than people make it out to be (not that I've figured it out myself, mind you). I have felt "gut" feelings that turned out not to be true, and only later realized I was trying to trick myself into doing (or not doing) something I was supposed to/not supposed to do. If that makes sense. In other words, when you truly trust yourself, you can truly believe that inner voice. No, NOT the one that sounds like Mom - the other one, the True You one.
