Is each of us responsible for the love or hatred, we demonstrate toward each other?

As human beings, we are created in the image of our Grand Creator Jehovah God. When his son Jesus Christ came to the earth, he pleaded with his followers, "that you love one another; just as I have loved you, you also love one another." (John 13:34)  If we practice love individually, regardless of our race, religious beliefs or culture; words or locations would not exist such as racism, hatred or the 911 Museum. How sad it is that thousands of lives were loss due to hatred or abuse of religious beliefs. If we could truly practice love as individuals, our world would be a better place to live.

If one is to believe everything that is written in the bible then they are aware that man has been killing or hurting man since the days of Kane and Abel.
There are also numerous instances in the bible where God ordered the killing of every man, woman, child, and animal in a town/village. 1 Samuel 15:3
"Now go and smite Amalek, and utterly destroy all that they have, and spare them not; but slay both man and woman, infant and suckling, ox and sheep, camel and ass."
Even after stating "Thy Shall Not Kill" God told Moses the following Exodus 31:15
"Six days shall work be done, but the seventh day is a Sabbath of solemn rest, holy to the Lord. Whoever does any work on the Sabbath day shall be put to death."
In my opinion that seems kind of harsh for working 7 days.
    Numbers 31:17-18
Now therefore kill every male among the (little) ones, and kill every woman that hath known man by lying with him.
18 But all the women children, that have not known a man by lying with him, keep

Whenever killings were ordered or individuals were put to death, it was for the protection of God's innocent people.  Almighty God also eliminated wicked individuals in order to protect his people from contamination of wicked ideas or practices.

I don't believe God 'flip flops". If he said; "Thy shall not kill" he meant it and there were no asterisks on The 10 Commandments. Men have always used God to justify their actions. God told me to...etc and we're supposed to believe these people!

Almighty God, loved and fought for his people, like a loving parent might fight to protect her innocent child. What is wicked has always been there from the beginning of time through Satan. But please remember, this creature was in heaven and he made the personal choice to disobey Jehovah God. Each of us today have free will and personal choice as to whether we will be loving toward each other or murderers of our brothers and sisters, just as Cain did to Abel.

When will we take personal responsibility for our own actions? Finding someone or something to blame, releases us from the personal decisions we make which can create hatred that can result in killings. Imagine if each of us made the personal decision to show love toward each other. What a wonderful world this would be. That is why I pray for the Kingdom Jesus taught us to pray for at Matthew 6:9-15. In that kingdom real love will exist because those that harm the innocent, will be done away with.

We should all be tired of hatred, racism and murder. It is time for each of us to take responsibility for our own actions. If it is not based on genuine love and concern for each other, then I am thankful to know that there is a protective, loving Heavenly Father, there for the innocent ones that do want to live in a peaceful, loving world.

Very true but if one believes in the bible they must also acknowledge there will not be any peace until the second coming as mentioned in Revelations. Man always had "free will". There was an "option" to eat the fruit from the tree of knowledge.

Interesting comment. We do all have free will and we should use it lovingly.

    On a mundane level, yes!

We create our destiny by thoughts, words and deeds. Do you know the story of the three monkeys? You may have seen them somewhere. See no evil, hear no evil and speak no evil. The Universe is full of laws, and will affect us accordingly. One such law is the Law of Karma - action and reaction; cause and effect.

Ultimately, all Saints teach that God is the only Doer. We speak endlessly of free Will but humans have only limited freedom. The Supreme is always in charge. Do you ever wonder why some people go around for years stuck in the same rut? They do not change and they do not die. Until ....
Nothing happens before the appointed time of the Lord.

Meanwhile, we are not supposed to know this. We pray and serve, and serve and pray. The time will come, when after all our efforts, we realise that our efforts themselves also came because of His Grace as we are  awakened to His Love. So yes, as crazy as it may sound, God is ultimately responsible.

Thank you, Angela. So sweet of you to say so. Yes, happiness lies in pleasing God, but we should not only look for him in Heaven. He is right here in our brothers and sisters: Mankind. Loving thoughts.

Governments the T.V & media & news & celebs etc are all trying to "put out" negativity, in an attempt to instill fear & hatred etc into it's population..Meanwhile the population are oblivious to the fact that they create/manifest their own emotions/feelings, by how they react to what's happening or has happened..So not only are we all responsible for our own feelings of anger or hatred, we're also responsible for all the feelings we feel from other peoples anger or hatred..Now if every one in the world we're to realize that or at least a major % realized, the love would start spreading & would become contagious..Basically the Governments/media etc are trying to get us all using only our emotional minds rather than neutral minds, & then all logic goes out of the window.

Nice response. Your opinion is right on point. We are responsible for our own responses. If we can admit this our world would be better place to live.
