Why is she so jealous of the other woman?

The other woman is of another culture and she is jealous of that woman. The look in her eyes says everything about her strong feelings. The other woman is a friend of her husband and has been for while. She can't be that woman but often tries to be like her in so many ways. For example, she dresses  similar and buys new outfits to compare with the other woman She listens to music because she knows that woman does exactly that. Unfortunately she can't change her culture or the color of her skin. She admires the other woman  but with jealousy. Is there a way that one can deal with such jealousy?

In my experience, people who are extremely jealous of someone else feel that way because deep inside, they aren't happy with themselves on a fundamental level.

If the "other woman" is simply a (platonic friend) then this woman should realize her husband CHOSE her to be his wife!
It's possible this woman is insecure because of his friendship with this woman. She may believe if she adopts many of her mannerisms the husband may come to see her as having all the qualities he needs.
It's not uncommon for people to (appear to accept) their mate or spouse has friends of the opposite sex but deep down they resent it.
Some choose to forge a friendship of their own with this person. As was said in the movie "The Godfather"; "Keep your friends close and your enemies closer."
In other instances they eventually ask or demand their significant other to distance themselves from their friend.
If that does not work they'll "fight fire with fire" by making friends with someone of the opposite sex to chat with or spend time with.
The goal is to make their mate jealous enough to ask them to stop so they can ask the same of them. Worst case scenario is one of them goes too far and has an affair.
