How to approach a relationship with your best friend's sister?

My best friend is like a brother to me. But his sister and I have mutual interest in each other. I just don't want to lose both. Advice? Tips??

Ahh the girl next door question.  There is a good chance that if you go after the relationship with his sister that you will end up losing both.  It is very easy for you to believe that he mistreats her as you have different interests in the relationship.  You may feel like you are doing the best thing, but in the long run you would only be interfering in normal sibling disputes.

After all is said and done they will still be brother and sister. . . . It would be my best advice unless all three of you are of older age, and have more experience with and or in relationships to stay away from this.  As the chances of it failing will be high, and your losses will be a friendship and a girlfriend.

    Carefully.
I would speak to the friend first...express your interest in dating the sister and inquire if there would be any objections.
Then, you have permission to proceed or at least know where you stand if you don't.

    Good luck!

That could be an interesting twist depending on the nature of your friendship. Though, Feel it out and see if there is any interest on the other side smile

speak to your friend as a sign of respect before just approaching the girl.if you dont, you might ruin your friendship with your best friend.remember lovers come and go but friends are for life
