Discipline is the answer.Take away something that they love to do.Don't give something that you normally give or do for them.Make it so that they have to conform to your wishes in order for you to continue providing something. It will work.
You can't make anyone do anything they don't want to do.
In this case, it is a respect issue. They need to have a reason to respect you or the situation.
Tell your family member that if they keep fu**ing cursing that you're gonna hire some boys to break their fu**ing legs; and if that don't work that you're gonna tie them to a mother fu**ing tree and kick the living sh** out of them.
Works for me.
Keep picking them up on their bad language as they say it, and ask them not to use that language when they are around you as you find it offensive. Sometimes bad language can become such a habbit that the person doesn't even realise they're doing it, and a continual reminder given in a calm manner should do the trick.
