What actions and amount of effort from her are needed for your relationship to run smooth and make you want to serve her in the ways she would appreciate...
Both can have activity. Also, she can be polite even if something didn't get done, like say the dishes, and work together to overcome. This way, everyone gets what they want and yes, it makes the guy more apt to "serve" her.
And yes, her role is very important. She comforts and gives special guidance no other can give. There is that closeness between you and her that is not there with anyone else.
