    Guys and Gals: How important is your partner's height in your dating criteria?

    I was a bit surprised to hear that some people had a set height requirement for their potential partners. While science might reason as to why this is (i.e. better offspring), it can seem a bit like a petty preference. My boyfriend told me that his ex would not date a guy who was shorter than 6'0", which is interesting since she is only about 4'10". I mean, what if my boyfriend had a height requirement for his girlfriends--no shorter than 5'0"? Maybe it's mostly girls who have a height requirement? What do you all think?

    No this doesn't really mather to me.
    as long there isn't a 3 ft difference.

    @steffer: Lol, yes, a 3 ft difference would present some difficulties :-P in which case (of a big height difference), I've seen girls invest in some pretty tall heels!

    It doesn't really matter, but I've just had a quick measure, about 3 foot would be the ideal woman for me.

    As someone who is five feet tall, it's a bit difficult to find someone shorter than me, though I'm naturally attracted to guys who are much taller than I am.

    I just cannot stand to date a guy shorter than me.  Must be taller, even if by just a little bit.

    Height doesn't really matter but I personally prefer a lady who is 5.7 at least (without high heels). 5.10 with high heels. But I won't like it if she is 6.5
