Perhaps not as easily as women do.. not sure about other men -
I am usually a soppy mess when I watch certain films or read certain stories.. but it depends on the situation. I can handle my own during distress and emotional turmoil when I am needed to support others. It is always later, in the quiet when I am on my own it all hits me.
Of course men cry, they're still human too. Most men cry less than women (and often less than is healthy) where other people can see simply because that is the societal norm. Men are supposed to be macho and leather-skinned, and while that perception is slowly changing to something more realistic, it does take a few generations for the expectation to die out. If someone sees a woman crying that's just normal, but a very large percentage of society still thinks some very negative things if it's a man crying. I personally think a lot of women over-use crying, and some never develop any kind of self-control because they've been taught that that's "just what women do."
Only the married ones! lol
Seriously? Of course men cry!
Yeah my boyfreind cries and I love him for it. I think it takes a lot of strength to be comfortable to break in front of someone what with all the sterotype of being 'real men'. Also my dad creid when his own father died...however he went off on his own and did it. Different people do different things based on how much you trust the person your around at the time. I rarely cry or get upset with people but this just makes me have an angry outburst every so often.
So a message to the guys - don't bottle things up, those who love you are there to help and support.

Does crying make you uncomfortable?Crying makes me uncomfortable because I go bright red and my eyes go all puffy, not like people in films who shed elegant tears. But seeing other people cry, even grown men, doesn't make me uncomfortable, it's a natural thing. How do you feel about it?
