    Are you a 'hugger'?

Do you hug goodbye, when you meet a friend or when someone needs a big warm one? Do you give someone a hug and a peck out of affection?

I am a hugger (not a pecker) with those whom I know will accept it, embrace it, offer it, etc. I also will normally only do so with those whom I already know.

For example, I have 1 cousin who will most likely never be a hugger and yet his brother is a huge hugger.

So, really, for me, it depends on the other person. That said, I would like to do more hugging as I 'grow'. But, I do need to be a bit careful as I have a chronic pain condition that affects my upper right back.

Otherwise, I always seek out hugs from those I deeply trust when going through difficult times.

Love hugs.  Love to give them.  Sometimes, the most comforting thing a person can do for another is simply hug them - no words are necessary to vanquish the sorrow, grief, or sadness they may be experiencing, but a strong hug and human connection can do so.

I used to be all about the hug but I'm not too sure these days.  I'm very sensitive to my energy and there are some people that are little hug terrorists man.  Like they hug you and destroy the energy.  At least, that's been a recent experience of mine.  It could be the work I do but yeah, I prefer hugging trees these days.  No hippy though.

    No problem, Tim.
I understand what you mean, JMAW.
We are all entitled to our own unique reactions and ways of showing care and kindness.Being cautious is right and reserving for special group of people makes it special too.Personally i love to give and receive hugs, but i wouldn't be too enthusiastic when i try to hug a fragile person, perhaps a gentle but warm one for someone with Moon Willow lake's condition.
