What smell  conjures up  nice thoughts for you ?

    Perfume,food ...everyday smells?
For me its my favourite perfume...wearing it brings back so many treasured memories.
Fresh air in the countryside( although not always fresh !! lol ) also gives me happy thoughts.

I like the smell of rain.  It makes me feel peaceful.  No particular thoughts come to mind, but it is rejuvenating and helps me relax.  I guess you could say I'm one who likes to kiss in the rain if given the chance.

The smell of lillies, light, refreshing, gentle, sweet...
The smell of antiques, old-fashion, historical, storytelling...
The smell of coffee, energizing, waking up, recharge...
The smell of woods, mother nature, calming, peaceful...
The smell of caves, dark, adventures, challenging...
The smell of rose garden, romance, falling in love, embracing...
The smell of temples, incense, prayers, light...
The smell of churches, holy, healing, serene...
The smell of castles.... I wonder what that would smell like...

    wink

I have no idea why but some of my favourite childhood memories are the smell of a hot steamy laundry,or  hot tar as they were spraying it on the road, the smell of a bakery when the oven opens to a new batch .

But the sweet smell of new mown hay or the smell of grass or roses after a summer shower has to top the list

My husband's cologne  always brings nice thoughts to mind.  Sometimes I put a little of it on myself if he's not around and I'm missing him.  Other than that, I always like the smells of cinnamon and vanilla.  I find them very comforting.

Fresh cut grass is my favourite smell in the world... it reminds me of my mum. She had hayfever and hated the smell, but I love it! smile
