In some cultures it's alright to not even fall in love after marriage. Love supersedes traditions at times.
Personally, I would say that it's important to love your partner before and after your marriage. When you don't, it's time to move on.
I think love has to be the foundation of a marriage. Marriage is supposed to be the agreement that you are going to stay with a person for the rest of your life. Spending that much time with someone isn't going to work out if you don't love him. I suppose in some cultures, love isn't necessary, however I can't imagine living that way.
