Why do you think a man wants an older woman in his life???
Seems men around 40-50ish are searching for older women...I have my own ideas why, but wonder what others think...
Honestly I don't think men get too caught up with the age thing. They tend to pursue women they are physically attracted to. I saw Raquel Welch on CSI Miami a week ago. She is in her 70s and I'm sure men in their 50s and younger would love to date her.
Aside from that when I was in my early 20s I dated women in their 30s and beyond. Some of the attraction was they didn't play games, they made independent choices without needing their friends to vote or approve, they had sex because they wanted to have sex and were not hoping it was going to "solidify" a relationship or lead to marriage. Quite a few had already been married and divorced. They did not have any unrealistic expectations about romance or marriage. Having said that I never dated a woman I was not attracted to regardless of her age.
Nowadays, the life expectancy of human has increased in significant proportion. Therefore, it is natural for a man to choose an older woman in his life. Today, the average life expectancy of human is over 67 years. Therefore, if we divide it by 2, then we will get average age of man & woman is 33 years. For the woman at this age, she has already become old biologically. Therefore, as the age increases, our biological senses decrease over the period. However, at this stage, both sexes look for companionship. Another point to ponder that at the old age, the value of sex diminishes rather the sense of companionship and dependency increases as time passes.
I can imagine what the average person thinks - Mrs. Robinson and the Graduate. The younger, inexperienced man, the older, worldly woman. But I don't think that's conclusive; a slightly older woman has less hang-ups. Being a young woman is bewildering. Those in their thirties and beyond have a clue how to handle their beauty. They know how to respect themselves yet not take themselves too seriously. Self confidence and femininity, self reliance and romance, these assets take a huge weight off the man. He no longer has to comfort, reassure, and protect her 24/7. This psychological maturity can make or break a love -ship as it waxes and wanes along the "romantic obstacle course" of time constraints, career demands, stress, children's needs, and much more. With a mature woman, you are dealing with a grown up, not a little girl.
i didn't know they did. i'm 47 and my wife is 36, so i guess i'm not one of them. guys that are looking for older women probably are either looking for mother-figures or they think that an older women will be more faithful.
