I am friends with my neighbors, mostly the ones who have dogs. Whenever I walk my dogs, I always stop by and chat. We have a large school yard in the front, so we would have doggy play dates.
We also have a fruit-sharing system going on, where we swap extra fruits from our trees.
An emphatic YES! I have the greatest neighbors in the world. My friends across the street, including their two young boys who are so nice, visit my kitties, I just borrowed a shop-vac from my neighbor to the north, my immediate neighbor next door is a great friend; we work on yard projects together, my neighbor to the south often peeks over our fence to talk about plants and flowering things, my neighbor down a few houses is a best friend, and I know so many others who always stop when passing by...it is an incredible neighborhood. We all really enjoy one another. Love this question!!!!
Shirley (The Boss) and I are very good friends with our neighbors. We've lived in this area for decades and know most of them. We even have a neighbor that is a NAVY pilot of an S2E that whenever he flies over the house and sees us outside, he makes another pass and dips his wings. We watch out for each other. We watch each other's houses and are always on the alert for suspicious characters milling about.
A big YES! We always chat every morning before they go to work. I said they as I work at home.
That is so great to have neighbors like that.
the neighbors on one side of me are friends but on the other side , not so much. we don't fight but they know better then to bother my family. i had to have a talk with them about 8 months ago and now they keep away from us.
One can have nice neighbors but the opposite is also true.
Only 1 other couple in the neighborhood. I haven't had friends that were neighbors since 2000. Isn't that sad?
When I was a child, we knew the whole neighborhood. All the kids played outside and every parent was a parent to every kid.
