I am totally against it. It's not up to us to condone or disapprove other people's sexual preferences, including our children, as long as they enjoy it between each other and not turn it into a mass propaganda. A true democracy doesn't interfere with civil rights. I believe that would never happen in France. There's a reason they were the host for the Revolution of 1789.
I never believed that any voting by the majority ever had the power to remove basic human rights afforded under the constitution. This only shows that there are pockets of evil throughout the U.S. and North Carolina is home to a large number of those evil judgmental dolts.
The idea of the premise that "the majority rules" did not include whether there are certain groups in this country that do not deserve the same equal rights as their haters. As was proven by the elimination of the illegal discrimination against blacks, and women. The moral majority has no business voting on anything in politics that would remove equality from even one person, based on their archaic and evil religious teaching, never mind a complete subculture. This vote in N.C. show the mentality of those residents and it 'ain't pretty'.
I think the ban is absolutely disgusting. It makes me ashamed to have roots there.
