   Is your spouse/significant other/partner jealous of your time on the computer?
   
   My boyfriend says I spend too much time on the computer. I spend about 5 hours a day on the computer at the most, but I space it out through out the entire day.  I don't go on it all at once, and I don't spend any time on chat.  I see what my family is doing on facebook, check my messages, then I come onto Hubpages. Am I the only one, or do you go through that too?

   Yes. He gets upset with me constantly. Always wanting attention.

   No, my husband is a gem.  He wants me to do whatever makes me happy. My computer is in the living room so I am in the room with him and still carry on a conversation with him, and watch TV.
   
   But we've been married for 42 years and I have always had to do something else while watching TV, puzzles, draw, computer, something. I can't just sit and watch TV. I guess he is used to it.

   My ex used to spend 90% of his waking hours on the computer.  Seriously.  When he was still working, it was pretty much sleep, work, eat, computer.  After he went on social security, he would eat, sleep and computer, to the point that he would even save empty water bottles to pee in while he was at the computer.
   
   And then turned around and was jealous that I actually had friends online, even though my computer was 3 feet away from his.  We're divorced now, because I couldn't deal with him being an over grown teenager, when we already had a child here.  I work, cook, clean, run the errands, everything...
   
   I now have a husband that loves my son as his own, we do stuff together as a family, and shares in on the house hold chores with me.

   yes, unfortunately, unless he's reading, then all is okay. Mind you, I only spend a small amount of time on the computer but he prefers my undivided attention. Sometimes it's frustrating.....to say the least.
