Would you leave your current partner for you career?
Sometimes it can be hard to maintain a good relationship and a career. So if you felt that you partner was holding you back would you leave and if so how woiuld you do it?
You have to draw a balance. It is a tight rope walk. One is sugar other is spice -- you cannot live without either. So you end up buttering the bread on both sides.
I wouldn't leave. There is always a way to get both. I shouldn't need to leave him for my career.
Life is a personal journey. Only (you) can hold yourself back.
Each us of makes choices by the minute as to what we want to do next. When I hear the words "current partner" I think of that as meaning "temporary". If I'm just dating someone at the moment with no plans of getting married then I would continue down my career path.
On the other hand if I am married, own a home. have children settled in school...etc I would take into account what is best for my family today and in the future. There would be a lot of factors to consider.
