Is it appropriate to contact and ex to say "Thank you" when he sends you a Valentines Day gift?
I think it's polite to acknowledge receiving any gift.
However if you don't want to get an ex's hope up then it's probably best to simply send an email saying "thank you" and ask them to please not send you any more gifts in the future because you are seeing someone.
Yes, it is better to send a sms or email to thank your ex but let him know that you are happy with your present bf that you are seeing now. At least, don't raise any false hope on his side.
That does sound like a good idea, I wouldn't want him to have any false hopes from my contact.
I guess it depends on your relationship with your ex. I don't think my current boyfriend would appreciate me accepting a Valentines gift from an ex, especially one who I had strong feelings for. I try to imagine if the situation was reversed and he received something from his ex, or any other woman for that matter... I wouldn't approve... Not for Valentines day!
Very true, you've made a good point there!

Do you agree that the best form of discipline for kids is fear?Since I was a child I have seen discipline in schools and children's respect for their parents diminish over time. In many schools the children are rude to their teachers, answer back and don't listen because there are never any...
