If I judge others for what they say or do, what does that say about me?

If I judge others for what they say or do, what does that say about me?

This question was prompted by a question about gossip I recently read. If I judge someone for their actions, does that make me an evil person?

only means that you your self want to be judge by the same way how you judge others

It simply means you are human. Everyone does it!
Each of us is entitled to our own opinion and have the right to (choose) our own friends, lovers, and spouse. If we decide someone doesn't make "the cut" for (whatever reason) that is our call. You don't have to "accept" everything or everyone that comes into your life! You get to (choose) whom you spend your time with. To each his own.
We are also judged! It's the circle of life. :-)

Well, first it shows a grandiose sense of self--that one's judgment is even valid--and secondly, it guarantees judgment of self by others. Karma.

God is the only true judge of anything or body.

Evil I think is the wrong word. It gives reason to think you are judgemental and a hypocrite. We all judge others to some extent, but discussing it with others turns it not only into being a hypocite but also a gossiper. By keeping it to yourself, you help those who are being judged, those you were going to tell, and yourself from appearing cold or harming others.

QUOTE: "We can never judge the lives of others, because each person knows only their own pain and renunciation. It's one thing to feel that you are on the right path, but it's another to think that yours is the only path."

If only the above were a valid defence in court....
