Is loving someone is crime? If not then why romio and juliet have to die?
No, it is not a crime. Romeo and Juliet died because they were foolish and immature, and made irrational decisions. They only knew each other for about a week!
Loving someone is not a crime. Acting on that love when you're an older teenage boy and the love of your life is a twelve year old girl IS a crime - probably not in Shakespeare's time though. But these two kids were from feuding households and their parents had forbidden their love.
The only reason they died is because of rash actions and very poor communication.
Hopefully you do know the story of Romeo and Juliet is fiction!
The reason they died was because each mistakenly thought the other was dead so they committed suicide.
Alfred Hitchcock couldn't have come up with a better twist for an ending.
Love was not the crime. Romeo and Juliet died because neither of them wanted to live without the other! it's about sacrifice.
A lessor tragic story is "The Gift of the Magi".
Jim and his wife, Della, are a couple living in a modest apartment. They have only two possessions between them in which they take pride: Della's beautiful long, flowing hair, almost touching to her knees, and Jim's shiny gold watch, which had belonged to his father and grandfather.
On Christmas Eve, with only $1.87 in hand, and desperate to find a gift for Jim, Della sells her hair for $20 to a nearby hairdresser named Madame Sofronie, and eventually finds a platinum pocket watch chain for Jim's watch for $21.
Jim comes home with her gift which is an assortment of beautiful combs. Jim says he (sold his watch) to get the money to buy her combs! Their gifts may now be useless but their love is evident.
They died due to failure of communication in planning their escape, not murder.
