Because in the US, white women still make only 78 cents for every dollar a man makes. African-American women earn just 64 cents to every dollar earned by white men, and Hispanic women, 56 cents per dollar.

Because men can make statements about grabbing women's nether parts, and think that's funny, rather than assault.

Because we teach women how to prevent rape, and question whether she was "asking for it" because of where she was, who she was with, and what she was wearing, instead teaching people that woman are not objects.

Because female genital mutilation is still practiced in 29 countries.

Because more than 120 countries don’t have laws against marital rape, and still allow child brides as young as 6 years old.

Because infanticide can be attributed to millions of fewer females than males in Middle Eastern countries.

    Should I keep going?

You covered it - and very well.

One more thing: Worldwide the biggest danger to a woman between the ages of 15 and 50 is the man in her life.  And in too many places, no one does enough to stop it.

To focus on the developing world that lacks first wave feminism (female genital mutilation, honor killings, girls taken out of school when the hit puberty due to retrograde sexual attitudes, forced marriages) instead of minutiae in the developed world.

Feminism is simply a demand for equality among genders.
As long as there are incidences of discrimination, sexism, sexual harassment, and lower pay for equal work there will be a need for organizations to stand up and fight.
Lets face it gender and racial discrimination will always be with us in one form or another whether it's overt or discretely systematic.
Lastly little girls need to be taught and encouraged to believe they can be anything they want to be when they grow up.
