HI MY NAME IS CHRIS. MY EX RECENTLY BROKE UP WITH ME AND I HAVE BEEN FEELING REALLY DEPRESSED. I TOOK THIS PERSON FOR GRANTED IN SO MANY WAYS, AND SHE LEFT ME. I TRIED TO GET HER BACK,BUT,SHE HAS TOLD ME THAT IT'S BEST THAT I MOVED ON!! WE BEEN TOGETHER FOR 4YRS AND IT HAS BEEN REALLY HARD ON ME TO MOVE ON, I LOVED THIS PERSON SO MUCH THAT I JUST CANT SEEM TO MOVE ON, AND HOPE THAT ONE DAY THAT SHE WOULD GIVE ME ANOTHER CHANCE WITH HER, BUT, RIGHT NOW AT THIS MOMENT SHE'S READY TO MOVE ON. IN OTHER THING THAT HURTS IS THAT I BEEN WITH HER FOR 4YRS AND LIVED WITH HER AND HER KIDS AND I GOT ATTACHED TO THEM AND THINK ABOUT THEM ALOT!! I LOVED THEM!!! MY HEART TELLS ME TO JUST STAY SINGLE AND MAYBE ONE DAY THIS PERSON WILL COME BACK TO ME,BUT RIGHT NOW THAT'S NOT GOING TO HAPPEN AND HONESTLY I DONT THINK IT MIGHT HAPPEN!! I WISH IT DID CAUSE I HONESTLY WOULD SHOW THIS PERSON A WHOLE OTHER SIDE OF ME AND APPRECIATE HER AND NEVER TAKE THEM FOR GRANTED!! I HAVE BEEN IN A BIG DEPRESSION MODE AND I DONT KNOW HOW LONG IT WILL BE BEFORE I CAN SEE MYSELF GETTING BACK TO MY OLD SELF!! I THINK ABOUT THIS PERSON ALL THE TIME AND I WISH SHE CAME BACK!!BUT THE REALITY IS THAT I JUST GOTTA STAY BUSY WITH WORK AND GOTTA TRY ON FOCUS ON MYSELF IN THE MEAN TIME!! IVE LEARNED TO NEVER TAKE SOMEONE FOR GRANTED CAUSE WHEN THERE GONE THAT'S WHEN THE REALITY KICKS IN!! I HOPE THAT ONE DAY SHE WOULD COME BACK TO ME AND I WOULD TAKE HER BACK AND APPRECIATE AND NEVER TAK HER FOR GRANTED!!! AT THE MEAN TIME ALL I CAN DO IS LET HER BE!!! PLEASE SOMEONE GIVE ME ADVICE!!! I SURE DO NEED IT!!!
(all caps is so hard on the eyes)
I think you've already answered your own question. You need to concentrate on yourself. Take inventory of what you want and need in a relationship and what you're prepared to bring to the table in the next one.
Maybe she'll be in your future again, maybe she won't. Don't worry about it right now. Give her some time. As cliche' as it sounds, if you're meant to be together you'll end up back together. Let it be when you're both ready though.
Good luck to you. I know it hurts right now, but there is so much you can learn from this. Take them time to do that.
I agree with KCC, what your feeling is normal, grieving, and depression ia part of that. Another suggestion would be finding a support system of friends and family. As well as going to a psychologist, counselor, or spiritual counselor depending on your beliefs. It is important to have someone walk you through the grief and depression. For the relationship the best thing you can do is let go of it, and move on. Although that is hard to do, whether she comes back or not, still right now it is best for you to let go, and take care of yourself.
Isn't it a shame that we never realize the value of a person unless we have lost him/her? Most of us are guilty of such behavior. Nothing is lost you still have time to prove your love...give it your best shot
I am sure that she feels hurt that you have taken her for granted and wants to shield herself from more hurt. It is now your time to show that you care..never give up.. if you have truly loved I am certain it will come back to you.. focus on what can be done instead of grieving and making yourself miserable. Try your best and be satisfied that you have given it your all
(I wish you did not use all caps. It was so hard in the eyes)
I feel sorry for your pain. But still, you are admitting that her reason for leaving you behind is because you have taken her for granted. BTW, I wonder how you did that. By what means that you have taken her/them for granted.
Four years of your life you had spent with her. That's really something cannot be easily thrown away. I don't believe that she has moved on already. Moving on is not an over night process. It takes time. Yes, maybe she is READY but not ALREADY. Meaning, for that remaining time that she is still in preparation to move on and forget you, you still have a chance to get her back. Don't do it aggressively. Start again from the beginning when you are courting her. How you got her heart before? Do it again. Never get tired, unless she finds a new one. That's the time for you to move on by yourself.
And the last last best thing you can do. Pray. If she's for you, He's going to give her back to you, with a lesson learned.
I hope it helps.

why is there no advice for dealing with a lying ex girlfriend who broke a Mans heart? Seems like...everybody focus's on the woman and never admits that some women are just as abusive and cold hearted as the men that are described in most if not all of these relationship articles.
