Why are we not able to fullfil the command of Jesus around the world?
Christianity is NOT for everyone! Many find the teaching of Jesus to be downright silly and fictional...
Which command of Jesus are you referring to, there are several?
because most people realise that these commands are impractical and foolish. things like forgiving those who have hurt you are rediculous. also many people realise these aren't commands from jesus or some god but rather from people who felt a need to command others to make themselves more powerful. the only commands a person needs is common sense.
Humans are animals first and creatures of faith secondly. And then there's the fact that Jesus wanted people to believe he was the "son of God". Get real. Only an idiot would fall for that one.
Send me $100 and I promise you salvation. Make cheques out to "cash" please.
For only $500 I promise you eternal bliss. Credit cards are also accepted... but wait, there's more.
For and extra $50 I promise you a perfect marriage.
we can if we want too. the problem is we want to do ourselves and up lift our selves and that cool but in order to do that we normally take advantage of other to get what we want and God made is abundant for us all but man is just greedy. all other animal live just fine without money. john 13, 34 read a new commandment I give to you , that you love one another as I love you that you also love one another. there just too much hate and greed on this world and not enough love for one another.
It probably pisses off Buddha and Allah, just for starters. Then there's the interpretation of Jesus Christ's message. The common man would say He basically told us to be excellent to one another, much like Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure, but priests and evangelists would probably tell you Jesus wants your money, and to send it to a PO Box they're only too happy to provide so that you can go to Heaven, because everyone knows Heaven's got a door charge.
Because we only trust the religions (Hinduism, Islam, Christian, Buddhism etc etc. and their leaders) BUT we don't trust ourselves. If we could listen to our hearts we would build a better world.
Maybe because evolution suggests a 'dog eat dog' mentality and many more people buy into that belief much more than any other one. Many people will only believe in what they can feel, touch or see. But, I can see the results of a wind storm, I cannot 'see' the wind itself, yet we all know the wind is real enough. Good question.
Because everyone doesn't believe. But even then, that shouldn't stop you from spreading the word. If it is your desire to fulfill Jesus' commands then I encourage you to do so without worrying about who will or will not agree or receive it. As long as you aren't breaking any laws then I don't see why you can't.
Jesus was successful in calling off the storms and diseases. In addition he also called demons to leave, and food to multiply.
Jesus is so powerful that God answers all what Jesus calls forth..
If you believe that the commands of Jesus failed around the world than you do not understand the power of Jesus.
The problem is Jesus did not make the command you think he did.
However, the grandest request by Jesus that we love our everyone as we love ourselves. He told rich to share their wealth with the poor. This is not a command, but a request without interfering with man's free will.
If it was God's or the command of Jesus it will not fail to happen. Furthermore, God's will not command us against our free will. God or anyone with the kind of power Jesus had, only need to call forth what they like to see and it will happen. They don't need the help of imperfect man to achieve anything.

Jesus said for us to love our neighbor like we love oursselves, can we love our neighbor that much?I know how much I love myself. I think it goes without saying for all of us. Jesus told us to love our neighbor's with the same amount that we love ourselves. And what exactly defines our neighbor?...

I was reading an article on the net which advocated that God's law of the old testament no longer applied after Jesus' death. By dying he released people from the law to serve the new way of spirit and not the old way of the written law; Romans 7:6 But now we are delivered from the law, being dead...

Disregard what others do and say. How does a human love an Ultimate Reality? How do you love God?Jesus clearly states in the Gospel of John, chapters 14 and 15, how to Love God, how to be His friend. But how do you love God?

What Qualifies You for Heaven? So many people believe they'll go to heaven when they die. Yet not many people are willing to do what it takes to get there. The Bible says in John 3: 16, that "...whosoever believes in Jesus, shall not perish but have eternal life." And in John 14: 6, Jesus...

Why do so many people believe that God doesn't love them when he sent his only son to save them?

Can you make a deal with God?So first a disclaimer, I am an atheist and don't believe there is a God, but for those of you who do, do you make "deals" with God or do you believe you can do this and does God respond? The other day, I heard of someone who promised God to go to church more if...
