    What is Christianity/God/The Bible?

Something I notice a lot among my fellow Christians is basic laziness. Studies show that Americans hardly ever read the Bible, and Christians are among those who read it the least! Even when they have a question about God, Christians still do not look in their Bibles for the answer! Even questions about the Bible AREN'T ANSWERED WITH THE BIBLE! Most Christians simply go to their pastor (who is obviously all-knowing and never makes a mistake). So who here has questions, whether atheist or Christian? What are those questions? Please, don't hold back.

While I tend to agree with you on people's laziness about reading the Bible, I think the real question is: If you don't read the Bible, are you just religious and not a Christian at all ?
While our society, believes people that go to church every Sunday are Christians. Our HEAVENLY FATHER looks at the heart and soul of a person to determine if they belong to HIM.
I, personally write Christian blogs without a lot of scripture, because it is easy for someone that knows scripture to use it as a weapon. I am trying to get people to check out what I say on their own. In that way, they need to open their Bibles to see if I'm right or full of bull, as we say in the country.

John 14:6 "I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life. No one comes to the Father except through me." It's possible I should've suggested this in my question, since it is an incredibly influential saying. Basically, Jesus here says no one enteres Heaven except through him. Which means: if u believe in Christ alone and his doctrines, u go to Heaven. if u don't, u go in the other direction. Again, thoughts?

With regards to God, here is my answer:

You have so much truth in your question! I have notice that Christians as a whole will go to a pastor, or preacher, and get answers that they themselves can get from the Bible. Laziness is on the rise in the Church!

I can list five reasons why the Bible is a textbook for the answer to the world’s ills, and a source for anyone to check out what I says.  Personal study is hard work, but one can form a longing for it.  It comes with practice, and the benefit is lasting. Someone quoted:
“No one comes to the father except through me”  (John 14:6)

That’s in the Bible, and that’s where you find the path.  By reading, and applying it you can think for yourself, and the fifth reason involves all Scripture that’s inspired by God.  What are the five?

The Bible is beneficial for teaching, for reproving, for setting things straight, for disciplining, and so that the man of God may be fully competent, completely equipped for every good work.

According to Peter Brown author of The Rise of Western Christendom on page 220, "Christianity was created in (Europe, my emphasis) the seventh century and not before"...  I would further add that the teachings of the Apostle Paul was the foundation for what became known as Christianity and not Jesus Christ. Jesus never gave a name to His Way. It wasn't until Paul preached in Antioch, a principality in today's southern Turkey that others began calling followers of Jesus "Christians".  God is a word, an idea that Christians and others use to identify with the Creator of the Universe. Muslims call the creator Allah. He is known by many "names" all of which fall short of who He really is. In identifying Himself He said He Is that He Is or "  I Am That I Am; He just Is. The Bible is a collection of the worlds' parallel moral stories, for example the creation story is accepted in many different cultures and languages. The Bible, many believe,  is also The Word of God and is the same as "scripture". However, diligent study reveals that scripture is different from the Word of God. Paul actually defined scripture in 2 Timothy 3:16 - King James Bible (Cambridge Ed.)
All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: scripture, by Paul's definition has limitations  whereas The Word of God has no limitations and is absolute... His In Service
