If you didn't need to sleep, would you still sleep every day?
If I didn't need to sleep, then I suppose: I wouldn't need to sleep every night. Have a great holiday weekend!
Probably at least once in a while, since sleeping is a great way to restart a stressed out / troubled mind. For me there would still be a necessity to sleep and "shut down" at some point.
No. I try to avoid it every chance I get. I can always find a reason to avoid it.
No. Most in health care would say "yes," because they've been brainwashed. I have gone 2 or 3 days at a time without sleep, feeling no ill effects or denial. Drs rx sleeping pills: "just try it." No thanks; either sleep or not. Truck drivers are notorious for having sleep disorders (why they like their job). The Gov laws dictating # of hrs to drive and to sleep, often do the drivers more harm than good. Some go several days w/o feeling the need to sleep--so they don't. They resent being told that's when they HAVE to sleep, and many wind up losing paychecks in casinos because the Gov won't let them drive, though wide awake. So, no, if I didn't (don't) need it, I stay awake! (Always wanted to be a trucker!)
I would travel, party, write, work...........I do believe that I could find something to do in my down-time wake hours.Sleep is something that I do only because I have to.
I would still sleep. I love sleeping. The feeling of getting into bed and my head hitting the pillow is something I look forward to after a busy day.
Sleep is as vital to us as breathing in and breathing out. Our body and its metabolic needs require at least eight hours of good sleep each night and for all of our immune properties to function properly, we need to get this rest. Do you know that lost sleep can release the protective shield or bodily defenses that we have and open us up to a host of illnesses. We may catch germs from someone else, or our environment may lead to a disease if we do not get the sleep necessary for our immune systems to operate. There are people who actually think that they can do without sleep, however they end up paying for it some way later on down the road. Tiredness leads to accidents as well as lack of immunity to illness, and can have an effect on everyone. I suppose if we could do without sleep, then many of us would. It is just not in the cards for human kind.
If I didn't need to sleep, I certainly wouldn't. I hate going to bed. At night, I still have so many things I want to do, that I just hate going to bed. Consequently, I end up sleep deprived most of the time. My way of looking at it is, I can sleep when I'm dead. Now, while I have eyes to see, and my wits about me, I want to enjoy every minute of this beautiful world.
Heck no! I have plenty of things that I want/need to do to easily replace the time I would have spent sleeping. I would probably rearrange my schedule show that I can spend more time with my friends and family. I could work at night instead of during the day.
If I didn't need to sleep; then I would not sleep every night; but I would continue to sleep a few nights out of the week because I enjoy sleeping and reaping the benefits of sleep.
I don't believe I would sleep if I didn't need to for any good reason. Life is too short and enjoying every minute would be awesome!
There will be days that you will not feel like sleeping but it is still necessary to sleep in order to regain your senses.
Our body needs the proper rest to be in the best of state to handle all daily affairs. You might feel that since you are not sleepy then why waste your time sleeping. This may seems like it but nevertheless your body can breakdown when you least expected without proper sleep rest.
If I did not need to sleep, I would sleep once a week.
Best wishes
Those Truck drivers are on metho....and other tablets. If you don't need sleep you don't need it, but that is the only way the body has time to heal itself and refresh all the cells.
Not that your heart needs any help, it just keeps pumping and pumping without anyone jacking it up to run! marvelous piece of equipment isn't it?
That would be great news. I will not feel fatigued and I am able to continue studying and working. Because of the need to sleep, I need to allocate time for that, and this dwindles my productivity a bit.
On the other hand, I think we would be robots if we do not sleep, or take a respite. It is abnormal for people not to rest. There are repercussions.
nope. i only wish i would never have to sleep because it is boring and you miss so much.don't mind dave mathews, he's a christian writer.
probably not even because if your body doesn't ask for it, the odds are you won't be able to fall asleep even if you want to. Besides, it would be wasting time, we sleep becasue we need it, if we didn't need it we would gain aproximately 30 tears of our lives.. incredible uh?
