Who or what do you think the "great prostitute" is referring to in the Book of Revelation?

In the Book of Revelation in the Bible it talks about the "great prostitute," who or what do you believe that represents?

"For all nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her fornication, and the kings of the earth have committed fornication with her, and the merchants of the earth are waxed rich through the abundance of her delicacies" (Rev. 18:3 KJV).

My first inclination is that it might be New York.

And, "Standing afar off for the fear of her torment, saying, Alas, alas that great city Babylon, that mighty city! for in one hour is thy judgment come" (Rev. 18:10).

The attack of 9/11 occurred within 1 hour, though the 3 buildings collapsed over a longer period of time.

But this might not refer to 9/11, because Revelation 13's "mark of the beast" seems to refer to something that hasn't happened yet -- the Rockefeller RFID microchips they lust for so much. They even have their media arm gushing about it, having the latest James Bond with 007 sporting his own chip.

Wall Street is in New York, and it is the center of worldwide greed, the corrupting of American politics and the fall of America's liberty.

Amazing, but I couldn't believe it seeing it with my own eyes. Both halves of the Corporate Party convention have effectively eliminated voting:

The harlot of the banking industry has seduced Washington into doing evil -- war, brutality, murder, lies, greed, massive indebtedness, and tyranny -- a betrayal of their Oaths of Office.

9/11 was an inside job. That may play a part of what Revelation was trying to tell us. The Power Elite who have American passports, but care nothing for America, plotted to murder Americans for greed and a lust for power.

And some people have a hard time thinking 9/11 could've been done by their own government. Here's some humor on the lies of 9/11:

Faith, the book of Revelation is deep waters to me, but I once read that John could not have failed to interpret this, at least in part, to mean imperial Rome. Some have suggested a dual meaning, with both first century and last-century meanings.

Interesting question. The Book of revelation was written during the time of John - that period was ruled by the Roman Empire from approximately 27 BC to 476 AD.

Who - The City of Rome was the Great Prostitute - were the kings of the earth have committed sexual immorality and with the wine of whose sexual immorality the dwellers on earth have become drunk. For details visit this link: http://thebookofrevelationmadeclear.com … itute.html
