Do You Believe in The Rapture, and Why?

There is a popular myth in Protestant religions that there is a rapture by Jesus before the tribulation. I believe this to be wrong. Jesus only comes once more. That is well documented in the Bible. I believe this other Jesus is Satan. This is also documented. So why do Christians believe in rapture?

I have read the entire bible, those who believe in the rapture take 3 verses or so out of context, it is not a biblical word, and those who preach "peace and safety" are actually spoken of as liars in the bible, we must go through but we will be marked for protection..Revelation clearly documents this, we, Christians will be harassed jailed and killed by non believers in the end, but its the non believers whom face the wrath of the angels, its clear as day if people read it!!! we have a thousand years spoken of here on earth, in Isaiah 100 year old's will be as 20, thats here!! some rapture people justify this as returning after Armageddon, ha..that battle is not even ours, but Gods angels verses satans!

As a Christian, I do believe in the "Rapture" It will take place and must take place, before The 7 year Great Tribulation, where those remaining will be tempted and tested for their lack of belief, to see if they will change their minds.

In the "Rapture" The Bible Prophesies state that 1/3 of all of the worlds population, on one specific dated chosen by God, will suddenly be gathered up by Jesus and the angels, and ascend to join Jesus in the sky. People will just disappear in an instant, Airline Pilots, bus drivers, children,Subway drivers, will suddenly vanish, throwing the remaining 2/3ds population into total Chaos.

As to why I believe, as a Christian, I know and trust that God would never lie to me, and I believe His words recorded in the Holy Bible as The Word of Almighty God, spoken by Him Recorded by man for prosperity as well as a teaching tool for man.
    Brother Dave.

    To Dave M.
I appreciate hearing from you. I used to believe in the rapture, but it was not in my heart. I believed only because that's what I was taught in church, but it didn't make sense to me. I am a Christian, but I have come to believe that we are all going through the tribulation. Our salvation comes after that. I guess we'll see. Thanks again for your contribution.

I used to believe in it, but not anymore. According to the Bible itself, Jesus believed (or at least it is claimed that he said) he would return within the lifetime of his listeners, and that many of them would not die before they saw the End Times. See:

    Matthew 16:28
    Matthew 25:33-36
    Mark 9:1
    Luke 21:32

Paul was also under the impression that the Second Coming was SO imminent that he encouraged people to abstain from marriage if they could help it. Every single generation - bar none - since then has come up with various crackpot explanations for how "now" is the End Times, the rapture is almost upon us, blah, blah, blah. Jesus was wrong, Paul was wrong, and everyone offering an opinion for the last 2,000 years has been wrong, so I'm inclined to believe the whole concept belongs on the Harry Potter shelf.

Rapture has been around for along time, and has always been in ERROR. If there was going to be a Rapture then God would have told us so.
Many confuse Rapture with the TRUE occasion called Resurrection.

Rev 6:9  And when he had opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of them that were slain for the word of God, and for the testimony which they held:
Rev 6:11  And white robes were given unto every one of them; and it was said unto them, that they should rest yet for a little season, until their fellowservants also and their brethren, that should be killed as they were, should be fulfilled.

Mar 13:24     But in those days, after that tribulation, the sun shall be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light,

Christ comes after the Tribulation not before.

I believe in the Rapture. Only because when you the prophets from the old testament and you read the new testament it all fits together. The bible is a riddle that doesn't always explain things so simple. No where in the bible does the word rapture ever appear but when you look at the word Rapture is the carrying of a person to another place or sphere of existence or the act of carrying off. This is where we Christians have taken up this term. It's a simple way of explaining the riddle God left behind. Most people who don't believe in the Rapture have not really sought the Lord or searched the scriptures out through and through to get a full understanding of the Lord was saying about the end times. I am not going to explain in every aspect why I do believe. I have sought it out for myself. reading every scripture both old and new and ask for a revelation on it from Our Heavenly Father. Most people get scared come up with their own solutions after reading just a few say they don't understand and completely ride off the fact that there is more there and they don't understand. If you are Christian and you don't believe in the Rapture...I would say search it out, all the scriptures both old testament and new and then pray that the Lord will reveal the revelations behind what God is saying for the endtimes. Ignorance is not bliss. God will give a revelation on his second coming if you really seek him and ask. The question is do you really wanna know the truth?
