Some said, if God really created man in his own image, then it means God looks exactly like man and he his reproductive system like man. How sure are we on the extent God and man look alike?
Man is the visible image of an invisible GOD.
No to see GOD you must look past the visible image f man
and see the GOD, THE INVISIBLE.
We can't see what is invisible. You can attempt to detect it, but if it's invisible to the naked eye you can't see it.
I am talking about images of the mind,
is that too much for you?
So you think our minds are like Gods. But he left us limited. So our minds are not like his. Yes, you are making no sense at all.
You are endowed with a mind with which yo can do any and everything but yet...
You think that You (not me) are left limited...
It is expected then that I would not make sense to you.
It requires of you to utilize the power of the mind.
But yet, you can still not utilize the power of your mind to convince me you are correct. And you say you're mind is not limited? Using the power of your mind tell me the name of the street I lived on in 1980? Impress me with the power of your mind.
You are silly to think
That I have a need to convince you of anything
That One mind can convince the other.
Then you should not claim your mind is unlimited. That makes you look silly.
I can and do speak for myself...
You speak of yourself and for yourself.
With the my freedom I do whatsoever I will,
And I persist in my freedom by allowing you your freedom.
And with your freedom you also do what soever you will
including your Limited thinking,
In the end, all I have said will be senseless to the man who is
determined to limit his own thinking merely for the sake of argument.
No, you claimed your mind was limitless and I showed you your mind is not limitless.
Okay, you can say it but can you back it up? Name the street Rad lived on in 1980?
And then you believe that you are limitless?
Your loss man
We establish the limits of our own minds. When we believe something to be imposible for us to accomplish; it is imposible for us to accomplish.
once we learn this, we can then expand our beliefs and our abilities.
Kinda like ... when we build defencive walls around us to keep dangers out, we find ourself inprisoned behind those walls; unable to experience those things on the other side of those walls.
We are prisoners of our own mind; all the while our imaginations are shackled within those fences our belief system establishes as a confort zone. Our minds tend to stray just outside of these boundaries which we establish; constantly attempting to expand those boundaries.
Is it posible to completely tear down these boundaries while maintaining our sanity or our understanding of sanity? As a general rule, we are afraid to set our mind free, being "skeerd" if it gets out of our grasp that we might loose it.
It depends on how one looks at the scripture. Different people define and interpret this scripture in different ways.
If you have an image in your mind of something you would like to make/create and them you go ahead and make that which you have had an image of it means it looks like the thing you have an image of in your mind therefor you have made that thing in your own image.
If all we have to go on is the word "image", we can assume it doesn't mean "copy". Hence, we are just made to roughly look like God even though we aren't made to the same specifications.
I think the New Testament attempts to help people understand that God is not a mirror image of our form. Didn't Paul say something to the effect that a tree in no way resembles the seed and that those who think they would go on in human form weren't thinking it through?
As others have said, that image is almost certainly only a perception and not a "picture" of physical reality. An image of the "soul" maybe.
It would be absolutely astounding if an ET from another universe, with different laws from our own, would have the same physical form, or even a similar one. God is extremely unlikely to have the same shape (if He has a shape at all) as we do.
I think the main thing they want to know is if God has a reproductive system or not

Gen 218 And the LORD God said: 'It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him a help meet for him.' 19 And out of the ground the LORD God formed every beast of the field, and every fowl of the air; and brought them unto the man to see what he would call them; and whatsoever the man...

It's sad really. They want so badly to NOT believe there is a God.There is proof of God everywhere. Just look. That's all. Heck, if you want proof, just as God Himself. He will show you proof to your heart's content.

How do you know what the will of God really is?We were all discussing an issue one day. My friend said, 'perhaps if it is the will of God, then it should be.' Then as quickly as he said that he followed it with, 'But my question is, how do we really know what the will of God is?' Do you subscribe,...

Does God really care?In life we all often face very many challenges. Some leave us distressed, others leave us bitter, and some leave our spirits crushed. In all these, we always want to run to some higher power, one that will console us, provide with the solution or take us through the whole...
