Controversy seeking people, WHAT IS your PROBLEM that you always need to stir up controversy???!!! HMMM??? Why do such vitriolic anti-religionists stir up debates with religionists minding their own business?  Why would anyone be so BORED as to constantly bring up hot button topics like ABORTION in a polite writing site forum???  I wonder about such people!!!  What do you have to say about such attention seeking people who must always drag out the most touchy issues to INCITE arguments???  They do it under the GUISE of wanting to engage in intelligent discussion...but watch out! if you disagree with their opinions.  Why do we give an audience to such venomous, vituperous people who only seek to amuse themselves with flamewars???  Let us boycott these empty, SOULLESS, un-intellectual polemicists and their so-called debates!!!

Ultimately this is a forum by and for people who write hubs.  I always wonder what anyone else is even doing here.

A thought-provoking question indeed, gmwillams.  I think you are right about the motives of "such people," but ultimately we must realize that "such people" are only providing the forum entertainment others want.  I suppose if Such Person's brand of entertainment was unwanted, Such Person would have been voted off the island a long time ago.  You can show your lack of support for such threads the same way I and many others do, by ignoring them.

This person is not me but a person who has recently signed on as me.   I would NEVER use the same username TWICE.  In fact, I would NEVER have TWO accounts, to me, that is unethical.  I never even posted this thread!

Yes gmwilliams, I was well aware it was a parody of you.   Nonetheless, as rude as it is to slyly impersonate your style, I think the now departed troll makes a point, perhaps one you should reflect on when you are less angry.  If you insist on starting 10 repetitive posts a day to stir up controversy, you must develop the ability to take what you can dish out.  I do not understand posters who do certain activities all the time, yet get peeved when others do the exact same behavior.

I assumed this was not actually Gmwilliams, but someone mocking her as to get a reaction or to make a point. This doesn't have her profile pic and the person has a 33 hubscore. Someone recently did it to one of our other posters... started an account with her name and posted horrible things as if they were her. No?

I asked someone the other day if they had more than one account and they said no, that HPs would ban them if they did, and that HPs could tell... but I thought several ppl had alternate accts on here, so Im confused. I'm sure if this is not really Gmwilliams, their account will be closed quickly. Was this a big run on answer? Im watching my favorite show at the same time. lol

haha yep! Big run, but interesting. There are a few people I know that have more than one account. And I believe, if I remember right, that when I sign off of HP the option of "Sign in as  a different user?" is on the screen.

Oh yeah, Im sure you're able, but... you know, some ppl have separate accounts and they talk about it. Like they have one acct for one niche, and another for another... so I guess it's not "illegal", but Ive seen them close ppl down. I guess it was just for something they said on the forum. Has the OP been banned yet? If it's not GM, I think they'll be banned soon. Im sorry this is so boring. NEW GIRL'S on! Yea! smile

No, there are people who troll hubs, leaving less than positive comments when they disagree with another hubber or with the hub author.  I have seen this.  A couple of years ago, there were trolls who posted a thread with the sole purpose of relentlessly attacking a long-time hubber of good standing.  These trolls incessantly harassed her, spreading information which caused this long-time hubber to be banned from HubPages.  The hubber was banned while they were not (to my knowledge).  Trolling comes in myriad forms.  Some are impersonations(new to me) while others are out to just do psychic harassment.

AKA, the person has been banned.  This trolling occurs all the time on HubPages Forums.  There are "hubbers" who sign on without any hubs nor followers yet they post in the forums.  They do this all the time.  Yes, I was parodied but I have seen WORSE things happen in the forums.   There should be a mandate that a hubber should have AT LEAST 50 FEATURED HUBS before being allowed to post in the forums or comment on hubs.  AKA, there are "hubbers" without any hubs who comment on hubs, some leaving very nasty comments.  Take care, AKA, and have a BLESSED NIGHT!

I totally agree that a" hubber should have AT LEAST 50 FEATURED HUBS before being allowed to post in the forums or comment on hubs." Other sites have similar policies and it really helps to keep spam and trolls from coming in and disrupting every thing.

Thank you Phyllis, couldn't have concurred with you more.  If this ruling was mandated and established, there would be no trolls in the forums.   If one have noticed the trolls who sign on have ZERO hubs, they sign on for the purpose of instigating havoc in the forums.  I also written to Team@HubPages, suggesting this.

Eeeek. I would surely be banned, if 50 were the set minimum!

I did used to have 50, but a few were suspended for minor breaches. Rather than fix them, I just deleted them.

I got busy, with life, and bored with writing hubs a while back, so, I just left it all idle. Not sure what rekindled my interest again, but we'll see. I do have a few topics for hubs floating around in the cyberspace of my mind.

BTW, thanks for the blessing, and good night to y'all too!
