You already know what I think... I believe there is one hope. Without this hope, I don't think I could face the difficulties life throws at us. There are some here now who are facing days so dark, they must feel like the pain will never end. I've talked to them. I know their pain is overwhelming, but God's mercies are new every morning. Each day offers a new chance to start over and do things differently. You know what? I'm reading this book right now that I bet you would actually love. It's about changing our stories. <3 http://www.amazon.com/Million-Miles-Tho … 1400202981
One time rats exceeded humans as the largest populated manmal on earth. So much so that half of Europe in the middle ages were wiped out by the plaque related to over rat population.
Man experimended on rats to see why their survival rate was so great. They found their behavior living were similar to humans. When over crowded rats would kill more often. ,steal, act more criminal in general. Mother would love and care less for their young.
I think God is omnipotent, omnipresent and omniscient. He is in a position to know everything all the time. I like to think he is enjoying the show (whichever and wherever) like a soap opera he can follow at will. Why do you?
What would be "sufficient?" Seeing God standing there in front of you and then telling everyone, "Here He is!" ? What if God were more subtle, manifesting in some other way than a tangible, limited form?
You also have an expectation, wilderness. And what you expect is based on your imagination.
Of course, I think there is an entity because I imagine there is. It is a very powerful urge that some of us have: to believe there is a watching entity. I wonder if it is a universal urge. Are some prone to it and others not? Based on what do you suppose? Childhood conditioning? Suggestions from church… handed down from the days of Jesus? And before that God had a heck of a time trying to get mankind to stop worshipping idols and other gods… which of course they merely imagined to be real. So you have asked a very profound question. The answer might be better offered by others. ...especially sed-me.
The baby was instructed upon the ways of the world and nothing else. What hope was there for this person when he grew to be an adult? There is so much to discuss, but one has to want to know the truth of the matter. Until that time it will seem like God doesn't care and that we are all lab rats, when the opposite is true. What actually went wrong in the Garden of Eden? That is the real question.
Sometimes, I wonder if childhood is not the Garden of Eden. Then the hormones of teenager-hood take us out of this garden.
For instance, I remember seeing images that were not really there, like beautiful green hedges with butterflies and flowers all over them. I told my mother what I saw and she did't know what I was talking about. It was not my imagination. I believe I saw beyond this world as a child.
How can children be so happy? They are infused with a joy of life. They bounce back from disappointments and bad situations and love their parents even when the parents are abusive. They are born kind and empathetic and with great potential for happiness. I remember standing so still for a very long time waiting for a butterfly to land on my hand containing sugar water. I don't remember If one ever did, but talk about patience! Children are not naturally restless. They are calm and open when allowed to be. They actually have a natural propensity to believe in God. What if we taught them to confer with God consciously through intuition? They could find him… God would communicate with them and guide them… towards what? I believe someday we will know. Thats all. Meanwhile we just have to be patient with ourselves and each other... and our ignorance. Which explains why I said, "God cares." Thanks for the topic, Paradigmsearch.
I'm sorry, paradigmsearch. You probably just wanted to chat. I don't know what is wrong with me!
I'm fighting a really weird bug, making me feel very spacey. I really wonder where all the atheists are! No one has refuted me here. Wow.
I am glad we are having rain and stormy whether. Not enough but, some. I don't know about where you live in CA but here in So Cal it is really great: Blue skies, green grass and trees... all signs of drought gone!
PS What we have here are Hubris Pages! ...and thats okay!
Meanwhile... As fellow lab rats, maybe we can figure out some way to get The Experimenter's attention in a positive way. Maybe figure out something that The Experimenter wants. And then providing it, which will give us a positive response in reciprocation? Any ideas?
I remember once a pastor of mine said "So many ppl think God's watching them b/c He's waiting for them to slip up. Like Santa with his good and bad list. But the truth is, God adores you so much, He can't take His eyes off of you."
You don't have to 'get His attention' PS. You already have it. He loves you.
To a layperson bacteria is an annoyance... something that is seldom thought of and never seen. To a scientist, microscopic matter is of the utmost importance and his eye is more often on the microscope than off.
Ok. I notice you put up these lab rat threads intermittently. Is there a catalyst which causes this? Are you a happy lab rat most days, but become pensive concerning your assumed plight on other days and seek conversation on the matter?
I can't say I've ever felt like a lab rat. Although I have been known to rail at the fates. When the whole thing seems overwhelming I always tell myself there will come a time where it will all make sense.
Apparently we are fallen rats. We used to be more special and unique. Then something happened. Was it the Experimenters fault? I think so. Others will disagree. The Experimenter gave us quite a challenge if you ask me.
Does the Experimenter know how to save us ? No. But our Creator does. Our Creator has a plan. He knows how to bring us back into the realm of Spirit from whence we originated. All we gave to do is pay attention to spiritual matters. The Lords Prayer gives a good hint. Our Creator's kingdom is in heaven. Heaven comes as His will is done. We just have to figure out what His will is.
Rats and mice are more simular to human than most animal. In ways of social behavirour, health and disease. Don't think rats care much for organized super stitious and scienist . rejected using lawyers for experiments
As to the entity or entities that is/are doing this to us, I cannot even begin to speculate. However, I can say that the experimenter(s) have the same regard for us as we have for the rats, guinea pigs, rhesus monkeys,...
