He didn't fold the napkin. That was added to the story just for effect. In reality, Jesus always wiped his mouth on his sleeve and didn't even use a napkin.
This question refer to John 20:7. Why Did Jesus Fold The Napkin?
The folded handkerchief you refer to (John 20:7) was that which was placed upon Jesus' head when He was buried in the tomb. When Peter arrived at the tomb, he looked in and saw Jesus' burial cloth and observed the folded handkerchief. It was folded to show that the Lord's departure from the tomb was orderly and unhurried. If the body had been stolen, ( instead of Jesus having been risen) no one would have taken the time to fold it.
