I'm new to Hubpage. Can I submit Christian fiction short stories? Or is it articles only?
I write short stories about Bible characters that brings a lot of fiction into real bible events.
You can write short fiction stories, but why would you write fiction into real Bible events? That's dangerous. The Bible warns that we are not to add anything to God's word, nor take anything out of it. That warning is in both old and new testaments.
I think so-called fiction bible stories, hollywood movies, etc cloud the truth of what's really in the Bible. People who don't know any better get confused with what's fiction and Bible truth. I wouldn't want to be responsible for the souls that ignorantly mistake fiction stories for the word of God.
Yes you can publish fiction if you like and poems too.
dabeaner You are incorrigible, and sometimes hysterical. LOL
Gerald Shuler your question is legit, and it is easy to answer: yes. Write about whatever you want. Religion is a good topic as it can be controversial, start great discussions, and you never run out of material.
BE sure to check out the TOS (terms of service) , there are some things that you are not supposed to do. http://hubpages.com/help/user_agreement
Also check in the FAQ area: http://hubpages.com/faq/#what_is_allowed
I say go for it. But remember this your articles, hubs, short stories, etc., must have good content. If the content is good, then when you decide to do something with it later, you will have something to build on.
Please feel free to submit your Christian Fiction, but keep in mind please that if it is not Biblically correct, others will question your thoughts.
Just make sure that your Christian Theology doesn't start any controversy among other hubbers and make sure it isn't a Pusedo-Christian Cult and look up the term what a Pusedo-Christian Cult is- it may look Christian in appearance but it really isn't.

Is it possible to submit your hubpage to too many bookmarking sites to get backlinks? I have...only submitted my sites to a couple (shetoldme, digg, xomba), and after having good google rankings, suddenly my pages have fallen off the face of the earth.

How do I know if all my featured hubs are indexed under Bing, Yahoo, and others? Does Hubpages submit each of my url's to each of my articles to all these search engines or do I need to do that myself for search engines other than Google?

I feel concerned that the reason google may prefer ehow as opposed to hubpages, is because there is an abundance of poetry and short stories. I am not by any means saying that those who publish the short stories and poetry are not good, but they are not usually searchable or high market. I...
