In a good way! All the fairytales I loved as a child have stuck with me, and still provide a level of amusement, especially when a situation plays out in a way similar to some fairytale story! So if you consider the level of effect, and how they have stuck with me i guess you could say they poisoned my mind, but i'm not going to deny that i still love most of them!
That depends on how they're presented. A little girl can learn that hard work, persistence, and intelligence will get her everything she wants in life; or, she can learn about what people should be doing for her, what she should be expecting her future girlfriends/boyfriends to do for her, and how to be 'a princess'. Unfortunately, people have forgotten the meaning of the word.
I love fairy tales, and am certainly going to indulge my children, and am going to teach them the valuable lessons that most of them have to offer.
of course it does, look at what the bible did to the human race=)
