This has to be among the ten most interesting questions, asked.

Not the creation and garden of Eden, we know how that ended.
Not the age of the dinosaur.....too big for  me to battle.
    Not the ice age.......so cold.
    No great war or battle.....

I am not a history scholar of buff, so my pick would be more modern.

I would like to have been part of the westward pioneer expansion of the US.  I can imagine myself, as a camp cook, washer woman, standing either beside or up to the American Indian.  In a time when women had few opportunities, I could have taught school, been a seamstress or a homestead defender.

I would have liked to visit the first World's Fair in 1851. It would be fantastic to be surrounded by what they considered "new technology" and feel the excitement and promise in the air.
