Why don't christians hand out bibles in salt lake city door to door?
Your questions assumes something else, evangelists do and are trying to do this very thing. There are special individuals who feel the power of God, rewarding them in faith to enter such a stout territory of Mormon doxology.
Jehova's Witnesses are commonly known for the Door-to-Door like marketing strategy that you are requesting. The truth is that most people do not want to be pressured into believing in a deity or convert from another religion, especially in their own homes. How would you feel if someone from a different religion came to your home on a Saturday morning while you're have breakfast with your family and proceeded to tell you that you worship the wrong God. You would probably kick them out and bid them to not return again.
If door-to-door evangelizing isn't exactly what you are talking about then you might be referring to simply dropping off the bibles in resident's home. Well, to do this the church would have to have a considerable amount of bibles and a considerable amount of faith to believe that irrational people will want to live out the rest of their days as rationally and morally as possible.

Atheism only means the lack of a belief in God. Why is it so hard for Christians to realize that we dismiss their religion for the same reasons that they dismiss all other religions? It doesn't make us horrible people, immoral, or mean that we are going to hell. It just means that we think the...
