The present is the offspring of the past as surely as it is the parent of the future.
    What happened to compassion:
the national and international monetarist policies of Thatcher and Regan, where the me, me, me, greed based society ruled the day.

Years of manipulation by mass media, who only have an agenda favoring the rich, and the destruction of the less than super wealthy.

Because of the choices we (collectively) made in our yesterdays. Nothing wrong with mankind unless it is the wrongs one focuses on. There is much that is right about mankind if one focuses on that too. Compassion still exists in more ways they one.

What we choose to put our attention on we will see more of.

We are the way we are today, because we are the world, and the world is us!
The world is nothing else but a reflection of ourselves and shows the state of our conscious.
    There is no "outside" world!
So, if you wanna change the world, start there where you are. Be kind to others. Live with an opened heart in the here and now.
In doing so, you surrender to the Devine, and that will take care of the rest and guide you to the best path possible for you.
