So do you really believe Jesus was sent to destroy the world or save it?
Just wondering what is it about Jesus free gift of salvation and His love have to do with destruction? Is that were afraid that we'll be judged based on our unbelief. Jesus offers freedom to those who want it. We don't have to be in a position where God would need to pore out His wrath on us when Jesus returns. It's our choice after all and God doesn't want one of us to be lost.
uhh... this just popped up on my page, but was this actually to me? if so, I really don't know how to answer this. to be honest, it's just going all over the place, and I just don't know what to say..
What I mean is if Jesus is our only way to be saved and He loves us then why are we acting like Jesus is bad or that His purpose is to destroy us and not save us? Some people say that us spreading the good news of Jesus will cause us to destroy the world. Now I get it when so called Christians aren't acting Christ like and are hating people and not spreading love. What about those who are spreading the gospel of Jesus in love- why say that this message will destroy the world and not save? I hope I have clarified on my question.
The Bible says He was sent that the world through Him might be saved, so that's what I believe.
The problem is once Adam & Eve sinned by eating from the tree of knowledge all of mankind is on our way to hell. We have only one choice to avoid this fate we must accept Jesus as our saviour otherwise we are not headed for Heaven.
Jesus was sent bu God to save the world from its sin sothat we may have eternal life in heaven when we die. John 3:16 says, "For God so love the world that he gave his only begotten son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life."
Jesus Christ came down to earth to redeem us. He died for us to realize His great love for us. and He rose again for He is the Almighty One and we have to put that in mind.
THE WORLD IS TO BE DESTROYED
AND WE ARE TO BE SAVED
By the Lord Jesus Christ.
You answered your own question. I was all ready until I read the last part of it. Really good question. Really good answer. Thanks.

I have heard Christians say, "I serve Jesus but I am not 100% sure He is the son of God..."Is this acceptable? How can one be grateful what Jesus did for us not even knowing for sure He did it?? Isn't this a case of, "I will be a Christian just in case there is a God and so I don't...

...when Jesus clearly said 'My Father is Greater than I' in John 14:28?Nothing can be greater than God, so by Jesus' own words, we can deduce that Jesus did not profess to be God, because he professes that there is a power Greater than him (Jesus). Why then do many Christians firmly believe that...
