That might be the one incentive I would need to really want to be ... me. We always talk about the grass being greener so we look to be different but if we couldn't be us I think it may give us the pause required to look twice and wonder ...

If I could no longer be me, I wouldn't want to be at all.  Because there's no one I want to be except me.

I would not want to be anyone else.  I might want some changes in my body, but I have no desire not to be me.

Logically, if you weren't you then YOU would not have existed or would no longer exist.  If would be suicide of one's personality.

My gut feeling is that you meant if you could change lives with someone, and still be you, who would it be.  There is a BIG difference than being someone else because if you were someone else then you would no longer exist.

I do respect many others .

However, I would not want to give myself to become any other person. I am unique and special and is in peace with myself and my creator. Even my loved ones prefer that I remain myself.

no one.. . smile this is me and everything I could be ever have is somewhat 'installed' in this being; it'll be rather difficult to start life all over again knowing that we only have a single one

No one but me will do, because you can never be sure of anyone else's happiness.

It is not necessarily my identity I would like to change but the era that I live in and those that I know.

I like being me, wouldn't want to change, although I would order a new body and I would take much better care of the new one--honest!

I'd want to be a small fairy like the one on my profile smile
As unrealistic the question; as dreamy the answer!

I guess I worded this question wrong, cosidering all the answers. I kind of meant like what the answer msorensson gave me. I am glad everyone is very happy with being who they are though, I just hope I get more of the answers I was looking for. Thanks everyone.

I like msorensson's answer, too, so I'm going to have to go with a woman version of Leonardo DiCaprio.

I mean a man version. Or whatever I can get, I guess. I'm not picky.

I guess I'd want to be one of my kids. They're a lot like me, but still have many years ahead of them. Plus I think they're all pretty interesting, fun and wonderful young ladies!

I'm gonna tweak your question slightly. If i could be anybody, including fictional characters from books, movies, TV shows, or video games, then i would want to be Peter Bishop from Fringe. High IQ level, exciting adventures, stylish appearance, and a view into the world of pseudoscience. Yeah....that's who i would be. smile
