It's a reconnection with Christ, a new experience in your faith that is vibrant and close to the Savior, in which you know HIm better and the relationship ismore real to you. If you have it, believe me, you know it!

With great pleasure I will answer this!  Nicodemus (a Pharisee) was speaking with Jesus. John3:3-7, "Jesus answered and said to him, 'Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God,' Nicodemus said to Him, 'How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter a second time into his mother's womb and be born?' Jesus answered,'Most assuredly I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God.That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Do not marvel that I said to you, You must be born again." Being born of the Spirit changes a person's heart. You realize that you must repent of your sin before a Holy God. When you accept Jesus as your Savior, the Holy Spirit then dwells within you. You lay down your old life of sin and start  living a new life that glorifies God! That doesn't mean you are perfect. When you make mistakes (sin) you ask Him to forgive you. 1John 1:9, "If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us of all unrighteousness."

John 3:3 Jesus answered him, "Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born anew, he cannot see the kingdom of God.

Later in John 3, Jesus explains "... so must the Son of man be lifted up, that whoever believes in him may have eternal life."

Others have already quoted from John 3, so yes, it is scriptual.

I suspect that better than 99% of people who think they are "born again" are not. Professing something to be fact or true does not necessarily make it so. Belief is not the same as faith. Faith is 100% confidence and 100% humility. It is transcendent, because it allows the bending, circumvention or breaking of physical law. Like Peter when he walked on water, or Moses when he parted the sea, or the Egyptian priests when they turned their staffs into serpents.

Born again is the death of ego and the complete awakening of the spiritual child of God within. It is the fulfillment of the Homo sapiens temple.

it means to believe that Jesus is the son of God, call unto Him and confess your sins (that you are a sinner) and ask for forgiveness, then believe that you have received it. Through the blood of Jesus you are made whole, you are now a new creature in Christ old things are passed away and behold all things are now new, that how you become born again. Have faith in God and each day He will reveal things to you to let you know He's with you and indeed you are His child.

It is an age old psychological condition of being given a new start, a fresh beginning.

Religion uses the idea, particularly hard core Christians, to help with the brain washing technique of indoctrination into that religion.  It comes from the teaching of Jesus.  The concept is related to believing in Jesus that you will be born again "in spirit" and have eternal life.  Quite the joke that one.  And not in a good way.

Born again is when you become a christain. You have asked christ to come into your life and change you. You have therefore entered into a new life with christ and are born again.
The happy birthday song explains it well i think:

    happy birthday to you
    Happy birthday to you
    Happy Birthday dear....
    Happy birthday to you

    Happy Birthday to you
    Happy Birthday to you
    Take christ as your saviour
    and then you'l have to.

It is starting a new relationship with Jesus Christ.

quote from the bible: John 3 v  2-8

2.The same came to Jesus by night and said unto him, Rab-bi, we know that thou art a teacher come from God; for no man can do these miraclesthat thou doest, except God be with him.
3.Jesus answered and said unto him: Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again he cannot enter the kingdon of God.
4.Nic-o-de-mus saith unto him, How Can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second the second time into his mothers womb and be born?
5.Jesus answered; Verily, verily, I say unto thee. Except a man be born of water and of the spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.
6.That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the spirit is spirit.
7.Marvel not that i said unto thee, Ye must be born again.

    Hope this ansewrs your question.

Born again means to surrender your whole life to the Lordship of Jesus Christ and to ask the Holy Spirit to lead your life henceforth...and yes it is scriptural

    Blessings

Born again is being a son of God once more.
You except that God came into the flesh, died for your sins and you are repenting of your evil ways.

You will know because things that once seemed great seem evil. You will see evil in things that you didn't before.
    You will know!, trust me!
