If we are made in the image of God and we all have evil then wouldn't that mean that God has evil?
I would think so, as he created the conditions for it. But the Christians would say we created it by sinning, and that god doesn't sin. Well of course not, he defines and decides what sin is. He isn't going to rule that he has sinned and humans think they don't have a right to make that judgment. He can do what he likes. That's the great thing about being a tyrant... I mean, in charge.
But I do think he should be investigated. We could have a trial for him, though I doubt he'd show up. But I think some serious charges could be laid, and might just stick.
When God created man He created man a perfect being (Gen 1:31).However when man chose to disobey God evil entered his life. God,s work is' PERFECT' He is ' WITHOUT INIQUITY'.(Deut 32:4)
If god is everything but lacks something, he wouldn´t be everything.
Being created in the image of God means that we are co-creators with God. It does not mean God has two hands and two feet like man. God creates and man creates. God and man has the capacity of creating evil.
Man can create evil with evil intent.
However, God, who is not evil has allowed evil to exist.
There is a holy purpose for this. Because only in the presence of evil can one realize goodness.
No, we are made in the image of God, we are not God, we are human and we are sinners, God is without sin and perfect, we are not.
We might have been created in the image of God but when the image comes into contact with various things, it may get contaminated. We inhale pure air and when it comes out, it is impure. What we term evil is a creation of the mind. God has given us a mind that is capable of generating any kind of thoughts. Some minds choose to think evil thoughts.
when man was created, he was perfect and without any blemish. however, evil became a part of us when Adam ate of the tree of good and evil.so evil is as a result of man's disobedience and has nothing to do with God's image.
Gos is the Omini potent, Omini science and Omini present. He has the power to save and to destroy. that is why He is God. He is cable of all.
He lacks nothing and there is nothing He cannot do.
We do not all have evil, but, we all have the freedom to do evil.
One is who we are and one is what we choose to do.
The first man and woman were made without sin. They were in God's image. Then man sinned and evil came into the world. God has provided a way for man to be forgiven through His Son. Those who do not accept the Son, continue to live with the carnal sin as natural man, those who accept Jesus are sanctified.
The Genesis narrative is very clear with its chronology - God created us first in His image and likeness. Since man is gullible and choose to disobey (more like tricked), God punished man - then evil set in.
On the other hand, our logical level had never been the same as God and sometimes we cannot explain things with our logical thinking. If you ask another question as "Why God allowed evil in the world?" - only God knows, for my logic is far below that of the supreme being.
I think the meaning here is that man was created in the "image" of God...not necessarily in the character of God. Thus God has far greater sense of what is right and wrong and how to avoid the pitfalls of evil. That's my two cents. WB
In bhagvadgita lord says i have created good and bad. They live in me. I dont live in them that is god is not god not evil. He is beyond both of them
God gave us the choice to be good or evil. Unfortunatly for some, evil is their choice.
NO! GOD is only goodness and love. We are humans. We are not God. We are made in His Almighty image but we are not God. He gave us free choice. If HE had not given us free choice, we'd all be in heaven loving Him like robots.
It probably would, but then Adam and Eve fell.
Plus, God made us in our image, but not with His own Awesomeness.

Why is God only praised for the Good, never blamed for the Bad?People have often stated that they are offended or at least find it offensive if God is blamed for the Evil in the world (or that happens to people), but praise Him for the Good. Did God not create everything - including Good and...

Did God tempt us by dangling the forbidden fruit in the Garden of Eden?Every day billions of people ask God to "Lead us not into temptation and deliver us from evil. And yet, the Bible says Eve WAS tempted by the fruit. We cannot blame the serpent, because in the garden; God...

Theists often times have trouble defending God against gratuitous evil, such as a person burning to death slowly with no clear reason the suffering has to be so severe. In any event, there is another problem that theists must account for, and that is the origin of evil. Theists assert...

The Bible states that God created the Waters, but when did He do this?If you notice in the book of Genesis Chapter 1 it does not state the day in which God created the waters within the 6 days of creation. Between verses 2 and 6 it implies that water already existed. However, throughout the bible...

Why did God create man?God created everything. Man did not ask for life, god gave it to him. Was it to see what man, created in his own image and given free will would get up to, like in an ant farm?God is great, all powerful and unimaginable. Yet he created man in his own image, with...
