   The Secret - does visualising and doing affirmations actually work for anybody?
   
   What have your personal results been when using either of these methods?
   What were the circumstances, and the exact techniques that you used?
   What do you think is the key to getting results?
   If these did NOT work for you, what do you think was the reason?

   Yes i have used visulization and affirmations for the last year or so. Admittedly, I have only seen results recently but I know the cause of my failure to attract anything previously. First of all, the reason I failed before, and i'm 100% sure of this, is because I wasn't in control, I allowed my mind to be affected by outside influences and circumstances. I chose the desire to focus on, wrote it down, created an affirmation that implied the fulfillment of it along with an imaginal clip. Each day for a few days I repeated the affirmation, read my desire and spent a few minutes, 3 times a day watching my imaginal clip with my eyes closed while in a relaxed position. It didn't work. In between repeating my affirmation, reading my desire and doing the visualization I still retained my disconnectedness to my subconscious mind or my "inner being." I was still thinking like and therefore behaving as I always had, complaining, getting easliy distracted, feeling unsatisfied etc etc As most people do.
   
   
   I have had a few successes since then though. The biggest of those successes was a new job which i attracted using the technique above. To cut a long story short, I wanted a job where i was teaching groups of people and making a difference in their lives as that is something I feel I was born to do. Around 5 weeks after I had spent a week doing the above technique, the job materialised and i found myself Teaching in Hotels around Bangkok. I remember realising that my desire had manifested, It was while I was stood in front of a room full of people, at a projector that it hit me and the feeling was incredible. I had finally gained some control over my life, using my mind! Since then, I have gone into overdrive in regards to attracting desires.
   
   
   The key is to first gain control over your mind, stop it from wandering and getting distracted, realise that YOU are the one in control and not IT. Once you get a grip and start putting a stop to all the bad habits you have entrenched in your subconscious, by developing new habits and cultivating a feeling of gratitude each day, LoA begins working for you.
   
   
   Now, I have a picture book of all my desires, an affirmation book and do a visualization each day and needless to say, I'm seeing fantastic results. Our minds are infinitely more powerful than the mundane tasks we set for them these days. We really can be anything we wish, it is just a matter of faith.

   I watched that movie and tried to do the tricks. I believe it can work, so I try to stay positive about everything. However, I know the opposite also works true. If you are in a negative mindset everything that can go wrong will go wrong. I know, because I have had a run of bad luck over the past few years, and the worse it gets, the more bad luck I get. I am really trying to stay positive. But the more bad luck you have, the harder it is to stay positive.
   
   With that being said, you need to take time to let go of the negative. Without letting go of the negative, the Secret will never work.

   YES!!!! It does work and do not give up. I have been doing it for over 25 years. I know it might sound a little crazy but I do believe it works.

   Yes, Visualization and affirmations work with determination, consistency and patience, courage.  Use these techniques in all that I do, especially when I am in martial arts calss.  My goal is the black belt so I have to see myself passing every test, and they are not easy, but I am almost finished. 
   
   DO NOT let others discourage you from your worthy dreams and goals.
